  1. There's that arrogance again by the moderate Dem wing. You can't just brush off people's frustrations, and tell them to piss off if they don't like what's going on. Instead of telling voters that they deserve what's coming to them with a possible Trump 2nd term, Dems should be out there telling voters why Biden is the best choice. Biden's campaign can't be "I'm less horrible and actually sane, compared to the other guy". He's got to give younger voters a reason to show up at the ballot box. This is why nobody likes Biden-Trump II. No one wants Trump back in office again (especially me). The Democratic Party shouldn't be focusing all its attention on Trump and how horrible he is. They should be focusing in on how great Biden is, and how better off we'd be if he gets a 2nd term.
  2. This Gaza-Israeli conflict is doing damage to his support with the under 30 crowd. They don't like the fact that our foreign policy is basically giving Israel a blank check to do as much damage as humanly possible to Gaza. Maybe the wine and cheese moderate version of the Democratic Party can hold their nose at what's going on, but younger people are definitely NOT. I don't know what Biden can do to turn his numbers around with the Muslim base/younger Gen-Z, but it's going to take more to get those people to vote than to just blindly hold their nose and "vote blue, no matter who" at the Ballot box in November. He's going to have to do more than "Orange Man bad, democracy is on the line". He should be actively trying to get his economic successes and policies to the forefront. He's actually been very good when it comes to job numbers, inflation and infrastructure. What he's been horrific at is actually promoting his wins. The Dem party is just horrific when it comes to tooting its own horn. Let me reiterate this one more time: I think that Biden is going to win if he runs against Trump. Trump can't beat Biden at this current state, because he's lost way more voters since 2016 than he's gained. The only way that Trump can keep it close with Biden, is if the vote is suppressed (especially the younger vote). If the younger crowd doesn't show up to vote like 2020, it's going to be closer than it should be. If Michigan is a toss-up, or goes to Trump, he has a legit shot at winning the EC. Trump will probably lose the popular vote by 8-10 million, but the EC is one way for him to keep it within striking distance. Those voters in Michigan (an area that has a large Arab population) is a lot more important than people realize. You can't just write off millions of Arabs in Michigan who are frustrated or take them for granted. Biden should be listening to their concerns (especially in an election year).
  3. He was NOT better than Shanahan or Gruden. Both of those guys at least had a winning seasons here in their tenures. Rivera never won more than 8 games here, while having personnel control (something that Gruden never had). Rivera was a loser, and the only coach who could match his crippling incompetence is Jim Zorn, who wasnā€™t even supposed to be the HC in the first place.
  4. This is obviously going to fail, when the SC votes against this with a 5-4 or 6-3 ruling. SC will argue that since he hasnā€™t been convicted YET of an attempted coup (only indicted so far), the argument is flimsy for him being left off of the ballot. Does anyone really expect the SC to make any other decision? This is an extremely partisan court, so I expect this ruling to go how you would like expect it to go. Thereā€™s literally no reason to believe that this court will uphold the CO decision. By the way, this ruling applies to ALL people running for office that might have been apart of the attempted coup on 1/6. The ruling has far greater reach than just Donald Trumpā€™s presidential campaign. Many republican politicians who were apart of the 1/6 attempted coup would also be left off the ballot nationwide theoretically, if the SC found Coloradoā€™s argument valid. Thereā€™s NO WAY in my opinion, that the SC would uphold such a ruling, for the possibility of MAJOR ramifications across the GOP party for 2024 & beyond.
  5. Listening to 106.7 or 980 will definitely screw up your opinion with regards to fan intelligence for sure. Those callers are of lower intelligence 100%. They're also repeat callers. I couldn't imagine calling up to talk to a radio host on almost a daily basis. If I had a radio show, I would see to it that it NOT be a show where fans could call in. I'd be that radio host screaming and cursing out the many stupid callers, and saying something that could get me kicked off of the radio permanently.
  6. I donā€™t agree at all. Thereā€™s NO chance in my opinion that Belichick survives this season. Heā€™s been a TERRIBLE Gm the last 10+ years, and now that they havenā€™t had Tom Brady the last 4 years, his deficiencies as a GM, and for the offense is really noticeable. When was the last All Pro or Pro Bowl type player theyā€™ve drafted on offense? Gronkowski was drafted 13 years ago, and heā€™s the last pro-bowler that the Pats have drafted on offense. Thatā€™s atrocious. Tom Bradyā€™s case for being the GOAT QB had gotten a LOT stronger in my opinion over the years. Brady covered up so much dysfunction and bad drafting by BB. They won 3 more SBā€™s, and went to 5 more with just Brady, Gronk & Edelman on offense. BB is still a GOAT tier defensive mind, so that hasnā€™t gone by the wayside at least. All you need to know about the current Pats team is that they drafted a freaking KICKER in the 4th Round this past draft, and apparently he leads the league in missed FGā€™s. If Kraft is still smart (or fully functional), heā€™s gotta realize that BB is completely over the hill now.
  7. Too bad NONE of that is going to happen, though. This 49ers team (coming off of a rare, humiliating loss to another powerhouse team and SB contender) is going to beat the piss out of this team something biblical today. Weā€™re going to be on the receiving end of a beat down that could be legendary today. If we thought Howell was unplayable the last two weeks, imagine what the 49ers are going to make Howell look like today. Jake Fromm WILL be playing at some point during this game, either cause Howell will suck so bad and weā€™re down 40+ points in the 2nd half, or he gets hurt, and Fromm has to come in.
  8. No offense, but SCREW Ron Rivera, and everyone in that brain-dead front office regime of his. I hope the dozens of Washington fans in the stands these next two weeks amongst the sea of 49ers fans and Cowboys fans chants ā€œna-na-na-na, hey-hey-hey, GOODBYE! at that absolute clown Rivera and his whole coaching staff. They set us back something fierce with his stupid draft choices and signings. He deserves no respect or benefit of the doubt from any fans of this team. Next Sunday should be a celebration of the great things to come next for this org, as we flush out the last few remnants of the Snyder regime, especially the largest turd of them all, Ron Rivera. In about 9-10 days, the rebirth of this organization back to relevancy is going to begin. It might be a long, bumpy road back to respectability, but there is light is at the end of this dark tunnel weā€™ve been stuck in for the last 25-30 years.
  9. This x100. We shouldā€™ve started Fromm for the last two games, and sat guys like Terry, Dotson, Allen & Payne. I donā€™t want ANY chance to fluke our way to a meaningless victory these last two games. I think Harris shouldā€™ve fired Ron after Sunday to be honest with you. Once Rivera benched Howell twice for Brissett, he lost any sensible reasoning to continue on as coach. I definitely think that you have to fire Rivera before the final game, to stop him from potentially screwing up our draft positioning. Itā€™s organizational malpractice to let Rivera continue to coach to win games, and screw up our future.
  10. He's been hurt for a majority of the season. His team can still win its division at 9-8 or 10-7. He's won a playoff game already in his career (coming back from 27-0). He might not have played like a Top 10 QB this year, but he certainly can still make a case to be one going forward. Look at that team. They whiffed HARD on their 1st Round pick in 2022 in drafting Walker. Kirk is a B+ receiver, and Ridley is not living up to that #1 receiver option this year at all. Etienne is a solid (but not exceptional) RB. That offense is not adequate enough to be dominating teams. Switch Lawrence's roster for Herbert's, and you'd see Lawrence put up excellent stats with that Chargers roster. I would still take Lawrence over any QB's not named Mahommes, Burrow, Allen or Lamar.
  11. That era is dead and gone. It's the 2020's, not the 1980's and early 1990's. You don't win that way anymore. We need to get over the obsession with the "good ole days" and the Gibbs era. It's now over 30 years since that era. We need to zoom ahead into modern times, and model ourselves after the stable organizations of TODAY's league, not the league from 1985 or 1991. The GM matters, the HC sure as hell matters, and the QB position is the most important role in sports. We are 0/3 in that regard since 1991. It's time to move ahead to this current century, and find our own Kyle Shanahan, Howie Roseman and Patrick Mahommes/Lamar Jackson/Joe Burrow.
  12. I don't chime in much when it comes to elections, but I don't think the polls will have that much of an affect on what the end result of the 2024 election will be. If it's Biden Vs. Trump, people might hate it and roll their eyes that these two are running against each other AGAIN, but I ultimately think that Trump will say things that are so crazy and authoritarian leading up to the election, that most people who are on the fence will ultimately hold their nose and vote for Biden. If this were a normal election cycle, and Biden was facing another candidate not named Trump, I definitely think that he'd lose. His numbers are not great AT ALL in key demographics and with young voters. His age probably has a lot to do with why voters are running away from supporting Biden, but it's is interesting that in an economy that is technically in a good place, and with unemployment near record lows, that Biden is underwater in the polls.
  13. I didnā€™t see this posted anywhere, so I thought it would be best to drop this here: Apparently the Cowboys-Bills game got a higher TV rating locally in DC than Commanders-Rams (by almost 100K viewers). This ownership group really has it work cut out for them. The renewed interest the team had after the team was sold in July has drastically dropped. I donā€™t think the goodwill has completely disappeared of course (seeing that the new ownership group hasnā€™t made any major moves yet), but I do think this is another blinking red light to how far this franchise and fan base has fallen, and what it will take to bring fans back. I think we might see a VERY active offseason, with several free agent signings and a new 1st Round QB selected.
  14. Itā€™s the exact opposite for me. I LOVED So-Fi, and it pained me to realize how dilapidated and garbage Fed-Ex Field is. Weā€™ve GOT to have an announcement soon on location and stadium design. I think that would get the fans excited about a light at the end of the tunnel for a soon to be exit from that dump. So-Fi was so spacious and modern, I was in awe of its appearance. The scoreboard was fantastic too, and it had advanced stats like pass per play that we donā€™t have at Fed-Ex.
  15. This. Itā€™s rare that we get to see teams quit on their HC in real time, but thatā€™s what happened on Thursday night. That team quit on Brandon Staley. It was embarrassing watching the Chargers D give up the plays that they did to Aidan Oā€™Connell and the Raiders (a team that couldnā€™t even score a point 4 days earlier). Staley was probably the worst coach in the NFL, and Thursday night provided a deep dive into why he was the worst.
  16. I understand, but I think that this job will be harder to fill. All we really have as an advantage over other teams is cap space. We donā€™t have the #1 pick to draft Caleb Williams (plus another Top 10 pick), and we donā€™t have a franchise QB/LT like the Chargers have. Add in the fact that our facilities are garbage tier, and that we play in a garbage heap called Fed-Ex Field, Iā€™m having a hard time seeing how weā€™re more attractive of a job than Chicago or LA. Maybe we get lucky.
  17. Herbert just signed his extension before the season, so he isnā€™t going anywhere for at least the next 4-5 years. I forgot to mention this, but the Chargers also have a cornerstone LT, which is another gigantic piece that weā€™re missing. If you already have your franchise QB (along with a cornerstone LT), your franchise is almost set. It wouldnā€™t matter who they had at WR or RB, a franchise QB elevates the team around him and makes those players better. The Chargers have two crucial spots solved that 90-95% of teams donā€™t. Their rebuild will be infinitely quicker (provided that they hire the right offensive minded coach).
  18. Sorry, but I disagree with this. Having a QB like Herbert, is like having the answers to a test before the test is administered. All you have to do, is fill out the correct answers, and your job is done. We donā€™t have a franchise QB, so our path to relevancy gets a lot more complicated. The roster we had going into this season that we thought was so talented, turned out to be severely overrated with LOTS of holes. Our situation isnā€™t an ideal one. We also have low quality facilities and a terrible reputation that canā€™t all be fixed over night. The Chargers have top tier facilities and the best stadium in the NFL (Iā€™m heading out there to see it for the first time ever later today, canā€™t wait). Weā€™re at least 3rd or 4th in the pecking order when it comes to job attractiveness. We have a long road ahead of us to start retooling this team, and trying to find a franchise QB.
  19. Having a Top 5 QB is something that 90-95% of teams donā€™t have. When you have a Top 5 QB, you donā€™t need to rebuild, that guy is going to be talented enough (with good coaching) to always get you to contention in your division and in the conference. The Chargers floor will always be 9-10 wins, with someone like Herbert. If they get a good offensive minded coach, their ceiling could be higher, even with their cap situation. We donā€™t have that luxury at the moment. Our floor is going to be significantly lower, because we lack quality talent across the board AND we donā€™t have our franchise QB. The road for us to become a contender is much narrower and complicated, until we get our franchise QB, and address the other holes we have on our roster. At the end of the day, as yourselves this: Would you rather be the Chargers, with a Top 5 QB and over the salary cap, or would you rather be the Commanders, with cap space at $100 million, but no franchise QB, and an overrated roster that needs a TON of retooling? Iā€™d rather be the Chargers. You already have a cheat code to becoming a contender, all you need now is a smart, talented offensive minded coach, and the turnaround will be quick and easy.
  20. The Chargers job will be the 2nd best job after Chicago for two reasons, franchise QB and location. Herbert in my opinion, is a Top 5 QB, and any coach/GM would be drooling at the chance to work for a team that already has his guy, and to work for a team in sunny Los Angeles. Chicago has almost the same cap space as we do, but theyā€™ll be drafting the most talented QB of the last decade at #1 AND they have another Top 10 pick, so theyā€™re easily the best job for any coaching/GM candidate. This team will struggle to attract the top tier coaching/GM prospects, because we donā€™t have a franchise QB, and our ā€œtalentā€ is overrated. Sure, weā€™ll have plenty of cap space, and most likely a Top 4 pick, but the problem with Washington is that since we really donā€™t have a franchise QB, itā€™s going to be hard to sell this job as attractive, when you have SO many holes to fix with the OL, most of the D and no capable TE on the roster. The GM that does get hired is going to have to make some really tough decisions this offseason (including where we go at QB). This roster is a mess, and the fact that we donā€™t know if we have a franchise QB in Howell, or that we might have to draft one at Pick 3 or 4 is very complicated.
  21. LOL, you're 100% right. I used to hang around West Alexandria a LOT as a kid (had family living there). Are you near Bailey's Crossroads? That's an area that has escaped all of the re-development of Arlington/Alexandria until now. It's exactly like how it was about 20-25 years ago when I used to hang out at the old Skyline Mall (before it became a gigantic Target). Most of the immigrants in the DMV live in that part of Alexandria/Arlington. Lots of Arabs, Africans, Hispanics and some African-Americans as well.
  22. People are going to point to crime in the future, as a reason why the owner decided to leave DC, but it's just greed and capitalism at the end of the day. This will be a devastating blow for that part of town, and I can see it descending back into what it was before 1997. DC has been backsliding towards the 80s and 90s unfortunately when it comes to crime and lawlessness, and this move will gut the Downtown area. There's been close to 1,000 carjacking's in DC in 2023, and the number of homicides just reached 260, the highest number since 2002. DC has GOT to stat doing something about the crime and lawlessness, before more businesses and people move away from the city. There have been issues with the area within the last few years. The number of patrol cops and cars has decreased significantly, to the point that there are only 3 patrol cops guarding the area during game nights, when the teams requested that at least 30 cops patrol the area. Several businesses and stores have closed up (including the McDonalds right next to the arena). The area is seeing a big increase in robberies and carjacking's. That whole region is descending back into the mess it was 25-30 years ago.
  23. Rams have Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. All Stafford has to do is feed his receivers the ball, and the game will be over before Halftime. This secondary is not stopping those receivers, and Aaron Donald will have a field day against our OL. The Rams game has 35-17 written all over it. I'm going to be in the house for this one on Sunday. I'm only looking forward to my trip to LA, and my first time at SoFi Stadium. I'm excited to finally watch a game at a gem of an NFL stadium. The Jets game is the one that worries me. I agree that the Jets O is really bad, but they did show something in that win against the Texans last Sunday, and Wilson had his best day as a pro against a quality team. If that Zach Wilson shows up against us, the Jets won't have any issues beating us. Their D will kill this OL.
  24. Again, our religion doesn't need any President to "bow down" to our whims. I think asking for help in declaring a ceasefire to stop more Palestinians getting killed by the thousands is not too much to ask, and is certainly not anything unreasonable.
  25. I'm Muslim, and you're comment is exactly what will lead people of the Muslim community to throw their hands up and not vote in 2024. Instead of talking down to the Muslim community about how "stupid" they are for not voting for Biden, why don't you come up with reasons why they should (especially after seeing so many Palestinians killed - especially children). For the record, I will probably vote for Biden, but he's done absolutely NOTHING to convince the Muslim population in the U.S to vote for him, and I quite frankly don't blame Muslims if they feel differently. They're not going to vote for Trump, but they will probably sit out this election. Your arrogant, foolish comments don't necessarily help that community "see the light". It's also precisly the kind of comment I expect from "limousine, latte sipping" liberals that expect the minorities to bow down to their point of view, just because they happen to be less evil than the incompetent, psychotic Republican party. I could say a LOT more about you, and your kind, but I don't want to get banned, so I'll just end it here.
