  1. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. They are a staple period. I buy mine off Amazon and have them delivered!! Apologies to all for the derailing of this thread into British food choices - but there is literally nothing QB related to talk about we have not discussed about 200 times until we get to the draft! Meanwhile wait until I tell you about black pudding and tripe ...
  2. That has to be photoshopped?? She looks like a character off Thunderbirds! (Topical reference for the older board members there ...)
  3. You were fine up to here. You have a point of view about Bidens past comments on race which you supported with some evidence. This is just a fly by trolling post though and a warning is on the way. General warning to those in this thread - people have strong (and divided) opinions. That’s fine. Argue your case, support with evidence if you can. But just posting to poke a stick at people with an opposite view won’t be tolerated. Add some value to the debate or don’t post.
  4. God I miss proper bacon! Bangers and mash is not a breakfast though, we will have that for dinner. One of my favs (not a fan of the onion gravy, I’d just rather have peas with it).
  5. I believe you - and you’d be right. But it Mariota struggles, we are not moving the ball and there is a new shinny toy still in its wrapper on the bench you know what the posts on here would all be about.
  6. No right or wrong answer here. You learn with reps - but I can certainly see the logic of sitting someone. It might depend what we are able/unable to do at OT. I highly, highly doubt that we have the patience as a fan base though to sit through Mariota behind an iffy line for a season. It won’t be pretty.
  7. It’s probably true that there is more chance that both Maye and Daniels bust than that either guy turns into a top 5 type NFL QB. Look at the 21 draft class. Lawrence, Wilson, Lance, Fields and Jones. Only Lawrence is starting and still with the team that drafted him - and he’s been no better than a top 15 ish type QB. Everyone else is looking like a bust (or IS a bust). But if you don’t have a franchise type QB you have to shoot your shot. And then keep shooting until you hit.
  8. Russ Grimm lives not that far from me (or at least used to). Should I call round and see if he’s in shape? Let me break out my very own US related breakfast joke. America - can we eat cake for breakfast? Rest of the World - no!! America - what if we call it a muffin?
  9. I really wouldn’t worry about a data set that says Sam Hartman has more chance of being a successful NFL QB than Caleb Williams.
  10. Here is where I have been for a while. 1. We are taking a QB at #2 overall. You listen to trade back options - but it’s really just noise. 2. We wont have the option of Williams - he’s going first overall. 3. The choice is Maye or Daniel’s. Other QBs picked later might end up being better pros - but these two have the highest ceiling after Williams. 4. No prospect is perfect, they all have flaws. It comes down to how you view what they can do in terms of fit to your scheme and how coachable the flaws are. For me it’s an easier projection that Mayes footwork and related accuracy issues can be coached than Daniel’s can be coached to attack the middle of the field, handle pressure, keep his eyes up when he breaks the pocket and use his arm to make plays out of structure not just his legs. I’d take Maye. What I think doesn’t matter and I will support whoever they choose.
  11. You are talking like Maye is a pocket passer who is a statue. He’s very mobile and a good runner. He had almost 700 yards rushing in 2022 and 425 yards in 2023. Ton of rushing TDs as well. He’s not as fast as Daniel’s but he’s very mobile. As for calling Williams not much of a rushing QB - have you actually watched him play? He tends to break the pocket and look to throw, but when he does run he’s a very very good runner.
  12. If he was being asked to make one read or run rather than go through a progression within the pocket his sack rate should be lower than if he was primarily operating from the pocket and/or even breaking the pocket but looking to extend plays to use his arm.
  13. Another month of the same 5 basic posts being regurgitated (we might still get Williams/Maye is the love child of Josh Allen and Justin Herbert/Daniels is NOT too light/trade down is the only way/JJ is the future). Deep joy.
  14. I love the JaMarcus Russell story were coaches were convinced he wasn't watching the cut up tapes they sent him home with (this before the days of tablets when coaches can check you at least had the footage on!). So they sent him home with a set of blank tapes. Came in next day and was asked did he watch them and what he got from it - and he bull****ted about how useful they had been and really helped blah blah.
