  1. I confused a post in there somewhere.
  2. I make desert avocados sometimes. You just drizzle caramel on top and sprinkle some rock salt. You should try or make some for your wife. Just 3 ingredients: Avos, Sugar, Salt
  3. Does it even matter? Justice is dead in this country. The only way anything gets prosecuted in this country is based off of vendettas, partisan politics, corruption or budget numbers.
  4. 🤔 I also got Mad Libs.
  5. We don't even care in this country when someone walks into an elementary school and starts murdering everyone.
  6. Operation Warp Speed guys. We're all saved. Hurrah. *What is that noise in the backround or is the feed weird?
  7. Even if we had the testing capacity and the tests were accurate enough... Even if there was a vaccine right now. This country can't test the entire population or force vaccines on these dopes. As Bill Burr says, we can't even stand in the ****ing circles painted on the ground at the store.
  8. From the ground level, you are simply delusional if you think you can safely reopen your business right now. (Public business) Its impossible to actually be safe, clean/sanitize, and social distance. (This goes for essential businesses open right now, they're not clean/safe) You need to be a professional to clean/disinfect/sanitize properly, everyday, every shift, etc. A normal worker can't just grab a rag and sanitize/disinfect **** every day. (They go through the motions) So to think your waiter is going to properly disinfect between each customer.... or clean the handles twice a day, or whatever.... they need to be a professional, with training/equipment etc. Same with PPE, working behind a mask, working with rubber/latex gloves. This **** requires actual training.
  9. Well yea, and they do it on purpose. You are purchasing from Instacart, not the store, so the physical receipt from the store does not belong to you, it belongs to Instacart. (Instacart legalese speak) Personally that doesn't entirely make sense to me because Instacart is providing a service.... rather then taking items into a their own warehouse and then reselling them.
  10. I'll also throw in that the physical grocery store is probably responsible for > 50% of the ****ups with your online order. I think he means the physical receipt from the actual store. Instacart emails you a receipt or sends you one via the app. As a policy they don't provide physical receipts. (the actual policy may have changed and things vary depending on your actual shopper/driver)
  11. They're not gouging you in that way, the gouging is in the delivery fee and the additional% they charge for their service. The price discrepancies you're describing are data/communication problems between the physical grocery store and Instacart. I.e. Online grocery isn't sophisticated enough to get you the price on the shelf. The $3.99 yogurt was probably on sale when you clicked order but it probably went off sale when your order was physically picked, or when your order was delivered. Or it went off sale/changed price 5 seconds after your clicked order. Either way, you're assuming the data is dynamic as in the grocery store sets a price and Instacart gets that immediate price to sell to you but its not the case. They might update their database once a day, once a week, once an hour.... etc. All the services don't run the same, some have their own warehouses, but you will find this problem across the board. So long story short, you should pick the one with the best customer service because the only way to deal with these issues are to get a refund from an actual human.
  12. There's no real way to prevent fogging up wearing the basic masks. Main thing is staying calm and controling your breathing. Other thing is simply being in decent physical shape. If you're overweight or really out of shape you're going to have big problems wearing masks comfortably.
  13. Its mainly logistics. (debatable vs young apathy) Its harder for young people to vote therefore they don't vote. I.e. Young people may or may not pay any taxes, earn income, pay rent, have a physical address, have insurance, etc. Young people also may or may not care about these things which isn't a choice once you start working, have kids that need to go to school, etc.
  14. Is this a new low we've sunk too or is this simply how its always been? I really wonder.
  15. Good luck @Destino. The ES community will be here to chat with if you're going to be quarantined in your bedroom for a while.
  16. Id be making more money through unemployment right now had I lost my job. Sadly id rather get the **** end of the stick and risk my life just to have something to do for 8 hrs a day. I bet we're the only country without any hazard pay right now. We ****ing suck.
  17. If you think these protests are dumb or stupid you're missing the forest for the trees. Every protestor out there is a Trump voter actively campaigning for their candidate. We'll be calling these same people stupid when Trump is re-elected.
  18. You mean friends? I just talk to you folks on this Washington Redskins forum. Me and abdcskins knew each other from ES for years before realizing we knew each other in the real world too. Hope you and yours are doing well buddy.
  19. So.... of all people being treated fairly, you're worried about the upper-middle class getting theirs? Are you sure that's not self-serving? Just messing with you man. I actually have little to no opinion on the stimulus as I've been working and live in the mountains.
  20. Glad @tshile is here to give a voice to all you under-represented wealthy people in the country. Keep up the good fight.
  21. Nah, Face/Off fails Patrice O'neal's movie standards test, which means its officially a terrible movie. And that standard is based on if a movie has any goofy or weird **** with people touching other people's faces. John Travolta does this weird thing in this movie where he brushes his daughters face with his open hand = FAIL Sounds ridiculous but I've personally used this method for rating movies and its pretty solid.
  22. I like Man of Steel as a standalone action/scifi flick. Its not a great Superman origin story IMO. (or Superhero story) Superman is really hard to get right. Not sure the current Action/Blockbuster format is capable. I wouldve liked to have see Guillermo Del Toro's version.
  23. This lady made one of my online shoppers cry over a can of tomatoes. I had to walk across the street with said can and tell this woman she made a 17year old girl cry over a single can of tomatoes and she should be ashamed of herself. If people in this country actually cared, they'd stay home/social distance and respect that workers can't really protect themselves. We're depending on ya'll.
  24. Here's the full speech: https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4865445/user-clip-national-strategy-pandemic-preparedness (Dr fauci Shoutout @ 04:00 ) (Bush also coughs at the end ) Listening to W here.... wow, what an example of how low we've gone in this country by electing Trump.
