  1. Last time this scandal was around it was noted a few teams in the league haven't had cheerleaders for a long time. The NY Giants for example have never had any cheerleaders and no one even notices or cares. All you need is some people to run around, pump up the crowd and toss some t-shirts. Like in basketball.
  2. He's going to show up and start slinging supplements.
  3. The dog has lotsa stitches and is sleeping face first burried into the crevice of the couch.
  4. The dog had surgery today so we all celebrated to cheer everyone up. (she's doing great, doesn't even need the cone) On the menu: Caprese Salad w/ Baguette Flank Steak --> Garlic/Brown Sugar/S&P/Scallion/Lime/EVOO Stuffed Portobellos --> Marinara, Olive/Brussels, 3 types of cheese, Panko/Shallot/Garlic topping Dungeness Crab Mac & Cheese --> Sharp Cheddar/Pecorino/Fresh Mozz Green salad --> Butter lettuce, endive, vinaigrette
  5. Twitter sets the precedent for Democracy in America. - Ted Cruz He's going to subpeona Twitter? Pfffffft. Its a free app you wierdo.
  6. Because there aren't any rules for a Supreme Court Justice. She can say whatever she wants as a Supreme Court nominee and answer any question in any way. As a Judge or Lawyer she can't. So if she refuses to answer its because she is an acting Judge. But on the other hand, she can say whatever she wants as a SCOTUS nominee. The separation of powers in this country is a joke. Its like the first thing you learn about in grade school too.
  7. Someone just ask her if the President's comments were appropriate or inappropriate. Then ask her why her nomination is then appropriate.
  8. Windows Defender can lick my balls. I absolutely hate it. (it runs the built-in anti-spyware) I honestly couldn't count how many times and in how many ways I've disabled or deleted Windows Defender from various Windows 10 machines. This one laptop... for some goddamm reason it'll just magically reinstall Windows Defender on every update. Somehow it even overrides and deletes my registry edit of NO ANTIVIRUS. NO WINDOWS DEFENDER. PLEASE NO. DISABLE. (dramatized) Unfortunately I can't just disable the security updates and run an earlier version of Windows either.
  9. She could be a hamster and it wouldn't make a difference. They have the votes.
  10. You could give me a 6th grade law textbook and I could repeat her performance by studying the bold words. Waiting for someone to ask her if the Senate should be confirming a new justice right now.
  11. Oh good grief this woman isn't qualified to run a laundromat. She sounds like a 15 year old in a high school election.
  12. Because its all a farce. D will vote no and R will vote yes. These confirmation hearings are political theatre.
  13. Nauseating display of politics. Pathetic really. 100% pointless hearings other then each side gets to say whatever they want. When do we get a Do Your Job political party?
  14. Holy **** guys.... The Matrix is based on a true story and the Machines are coming!
  15. This is really out of my wheelhouse but that doesn't seem that out of the norm doing some quick research. Elena Kegan actually had 0 experience being a judge before being nominated. Looks like Clarence Thomas also was only an actual judge for a couple years too before his nomination. There's really gotta be some kind of basic requirements to be a Supreme Court Justice. As it is.... Trump could nominate you or me and all we'd need is a Senate majority to become a Justice for life.
  16. True. Her career is mainly in Academia as a law professor besides being a private lawyer.
  17. Graham already said its not the same situation because the GOP has the Presidency and the Senate. Not sure why there's a narrative that any GOP Senator won't confirm a new Justice. (save Romney) Their goal is to get Trump reelected and apppoint as many judges as possible.
  18. In the longer run, a Dem President + Senate could just increase the SCOTUS to 11 or 13 members. Buttigieg was talking like 17-19 Justices during his campaign.
  19. Yup. We're pretty screwed. https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/498133-graham-on-potential-supreme-court-vacancy-this-would-be-a-different This is from May: Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said the Senate would work to confirm a Supreme Court nominee this year if a vacancy arises, saying the circumstances are different from 2016, when Republicans blocked then-President Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland. ... Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who has largely steered the GOP’s efforts to confirm judges, has also said the Senate would consider nominations to the Supreme Court this year. “As soon as we get back in session, we’ll start confirming judges again. We need to have hearings, and we need to confirm judges. ... The pandemic will not prevent us from achieving that goal,” McConnell said last month. “My motto for the year is leave no vacancy behind. That hasn’t changed.” ... However, the comments mark a reversal from Graham, who in 2018 said no nominations would be considered in 2020.
  20. https://www.npr.org/2020/09/18/100306972/justice-ruth-bader-ginsburg-champion-of-gender-equality-dies-at-87 Just days before her death, as her strength waned, Ginsburg dictated this statement to her granddaughter Clara Spera: "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed."
  21. Ginsburg spoke at my HS graduation. RIP
  22. You mean weak/ignorant people with unfulfilling lives desperate for their 10 seconds of attention? .... way too late. Country is full of em.
