  1. I was looking at the Pressure/Sack/Whatever stats and then noticed Bo Nix was sacked 5 times in 470 attempts behind Oregon's O-Line and Penix Jr was sacked 11 times in 555 attempts at Washington. That's a sack every 94 pass attempts for Nix. How do you analyze Williams/Daniels/Maye's numbers when compared to that? Have to watch actually watch the tape to get a sense of how they handle pressure and avoid sacks. The numbers aren't going to tell you squat.
  2. What a difference with this FO. We used to be the team that buys high and sells low.... or even sell for absolutely nothing. Feeling better and better that Peters will select the right guy at 2 to be our franchise QB. And if we swing and miss so be it. Not going to rebuild this entire roster in 1 year.
  3. Think you missed the if in there. 😉 You can value Howell as worth a 3rd round pick - on paper - if you're thinking a 2022 5th rounder is worth a 2024 3rd rounder. (which in reality it isn't) Or if you have Howell's value above a 5th round pick based on his play/potential. (which is obviously what Seattle is projecting) Most people had Sam's value anywhere from a 4th - 6th round pick.
  4. Yea, that definitely makes no sense. An extra 3rd rounder isn't going to move that needle. Very few teams carry 3 QBs on the roster. If we didn't get a trade for Howell we'd probably have just released him.
  5. Think people are predicting we'll draft a QB at #2 and then trade up for a Tackle.
  6. On paper we traded 145.8 in draft value and received 230.8. So amazing for us. But that's with Howell being worth the 144th pick in the 2022 draft. If you value Howell at a 3rd round pick or higher then Seattle got the better value.
  7. Even if we did want Wilson, why would he want to come here? To be a punching bag and mentor for our face of the franchise #2 pick to replace him? Just doesn't sound realistic on either side.
  8. Better is a tough comparison. Maye* being 6'4" - 6'5" vs Howell at 6'0" - 6'1" makes them completely different prospects for the NFL.
  9. Over under was 47.5 Some bets at 46.5 before game started. Vegas man.
  10. Terrible playcall on 3rd and 1? They ran directly into the run blitz....
  11. Is KC incapable of a hard count? 49ers jumping every snap. Maybe just better prep from Wilks and Co.
  12. Purdy stepping up in the pocket, hell of a throw. Better play by McDuffie.
  13. Mccaffrey fighting for extra yards on each touch and coughs it up.
  14. Daniels is a great prospect and I'd be super excited to land him at #2, but its going to be really difficult to protect him. We have no O-Line, weak WR core, non-existent TE group.... etc. This is also basically year 1 with the new ownership group, FO and coaching. There's no way our #2 overall QB is going to start the season on the bench or in some run-heavy offense where they bring him along slowly.
  15. The Panthers moved up from #9 though. That's a big difference from trading up from #2. Value-wise moving up from #2 to #1 is a middle 2nd round pick. Not saying CHI will trade down for the minimum value or draft value charts are gospel but it shouldn't take a haul to move up one spot.
  16. Seems unrealistic our FO won't have 1 of the top 3 QBs or Marvin Harrison Jr as a "can't miss" prospect. Trading down always sounds great, but there are diminishing returns when you are passing on quality talent.
  17. Trump has been through thousands of lawsuits and civil trials; something like 4-5 thousand in his lifetime. A normal American has been through a handful, maybe. He's probably the foremost expert on getting away with being a jackass in court.
  18. I hear you, but then I look at this: 2023: Forbes (16) 2022: Dotson (16) 2021: Jamin Davis (19) 2020: Chase Young (2) 2019: Dwayne Haskins (15) 2018: Daron Payne (13) 2017: Jonathon Allen (17) 2016: Josh Doctson (22) 2015: Brandon Scherff (5) When you look at that.... its hard to really covet future first round picks. I realize we're assuming our new FO won't completely suck but its still hard. I'd say 100% trade up for Williams and give up whatever it takes. (assuming he's atop our draft board) I have a feeling that CHI won't realistically listen to any offers and will just draft WIlliams. If we stay at #2 then Maye is the pick. To me he has a bigger bust potential and looks suspect reading defenses or going through progressions. But the hell do I know. He's got the tools and traits. Draft him. I love Daniels as dual threat QB and wouldn't hate him at #2 either. HIs weaknesses can be masked with the right offense. However, if we do draft Daniels then he's got to sit until we're confident we can protect him.
  19. Ah, my bad. That's a pretty different scenario. They got screwed with the early game. They could've benched their starters.
  20. Correct, they need both Philly and Dallas to lose. (to NYG and us) Seems almost impossible, but the bye is huge.
  21. LaPorta's backup with a big catch. James Mitchell, 5th rounder out of VT.
  22. The bolded part seems unlikely though. If we trade down then what QB would we be targeting outside of Williams/Maye/Daniels? (assuming someone is trading up for a QB)
