  1. The bolded part seems unlikely though. If we trade down then what QB would we be targeting outside of Williams/Maye/Daniels? (assuming someone is trading up for a QB)
  2. Was that an audible? Or couldn't tell if we were having tech issues getting the play in.
  3. Why would we trade Sweat for a third? Wouldn't we get a third round compensation pick anyway for letting him walk?
  4. Every Pacer is wide open despite 5 defenders on the court. It defies science.
  5. Howell breaking tackles in the open field. He's a tough runner in the red zone.
  6. Still gotta stick with Howell this season and get through the growing pains. Brissett will lead us to another 6-8 win season and a mediocre draft pick. (best case scenario btw)
  7. We got Quan. He might've played snap on Teams today.
  8. Smith-Willams is also questionable with an oblique injury. Who starts if he can't go? Toohill?
  9. Really don't understand going for it on 4th and 20 with 3 timeouts left. Even weirder after the false start and 4th and 25.
  10. You guys have to break down the contracts year by year. By the time Lamar is actually paid like a top QB, it will be well after guys like Burrow/Lawerence/Herbert have signed new contracts and they will be the next highest paid QBs. Just like how Jalen Hurts won't be a top paid QB until 2028 despite signing a $255mil deal. Philly is actually saving money for the next 4 seasons. Lamar will be the 6th highest paid QB this year. 11th highest paid QB in 2024. 9th highest paid QB in 2025. 1st highest paid QB in 2026. By 2026 who knows what QB contracts will look like or how big the salary cap will be. Now, would I personally be a fan of trading 1st round picks for Lamar Jackson and giving him a $260million contract? Hell no. And looking back when the trade rumors were active, very few of us around here would've been on board for such a deal. But we're fans of this team. Our 2 highest paid players last season were Wentz and Curtis Samuel. Who around here would argue that your football team would be better with Wentz/Samuel vs Lamar Jackson? Wentz was a disaster.
  11. Thought Kuz was gone for sure; didn't seem to fit the plans for a rebuild. Still have tons of cap space in 2024. Good call.
  12. Thought this was funny: Fadeaway Sports: Bradley Beal's Agent Is The Father Of The Phoenix Suns CEO
  13. #8 is the highest draft pick Wiz have had in a decade. (Otto, 2013) Can't really say anything about this team right now looking at the current roster and no GM. Beal and Gafford are pretty much the only players currently signed past 2023 (blue = team option) : Player Age 2022-23 2023-24 2024-25 2025-26 2026-27 2027-28 Guaranteed Team Totals $149,947,714 $148,672,960 $80,695,778 $76,986,270 $57,128,610 $380,345,03 Bradley Beal 29 $43,279,250 $46,741,590 $50,203,930 $53,666,270 $57,128,610 $193,891,040 Kristaps Porziņģis 27 $33,833,400 $36,016,200 $33,833,400 Kyle Kuzma 27 $13,000,000 $13,000,000 $13,000,000 Monte Morris 27 $9,125,000 $9,800,926 $18,925,926 Delon Wright 31 $7,804,878 $8,195,122 $16,000,000 Kendrick Nunn 27 $5,250,000 $5,250,000 Deni Avdija 22 $4,916,160 $6,263,188 $11,179,348 Johnny Davis 21 $4,810,320 $5,050,800 $5,291,160 $6,746,229 $9,861,120 Corey Kispert 24 $3,552,840 $3,722,040 $5,705,887 $7,274,880 Daniel Gafford 24 $1,930,681 $12,402,000 $13,394,160 $14,386,320 $42,113,161 Taj Gibson 37 $1,836,090 $1,836,090 Anthony Gill 30 $1,836,090 $1,997,238 $3,833,328 Isaiah Todd 21 $1,575,000 $1,836,096 $1,988,598 $3,411,096 Jordan Goodwin 24 $900,000 $1,927,896 $2,092,344 $900,000 Xavier Cooks 27 $140,384 $1,719,864 $2,019,699 $2,187,451 $1,860,248 Quenton Jackson 24 $1,017,781 Jay Huff 24 Will Barton 32 $14,375,000 $14,375,000 Vernon Carey Jr. 22 $1,782,621 $1,782,621 I can't believe a new GM wouldn't come into this roster and make significant changes via trade with all the expiring contracts. Assuming Beal is un-tradable then that probably means we will extend Porzingis with the purpose of trading him later. Deadline to extend Porzingis is late June.
  14. Wouldn't anything be worth it if we still could've drafted Forbes a few spots down? Not that I actually know what other team's interest in Forbes was. Just kind of feels like Dotson or Jamin the year before. We couldn't have traded down any of those times knowing Davis/Dotson/Forbes would still be there a few spots down?
  15. Definitely seeing the same thing on his tape. He gets hands on WRs and gets low on tackles. Some dog in his game for sure. I'm not so down on the pick, more down on NE trading down and drafted Gonzales directly after us. Why aren't we making moves like that? We have no insight on what other teams are doing and couldn't trade down knowing Forbes would still be there? This franchise needs a GM in charge.
  16. Carter or Bijan to PHI? Not sure which is worse.
  17. Oh its in there somewhere, his cap hits in 2027 and 2028 are probably huge. And again, by 2027 the salary cap will be bigger anyway. I'm assuming they added void years to his contract which spreads out the bonus money longer but not entirely sure. They can add another 4 or 5 fake or void years to his contract which spreads out all the bonus money over 10 years instead of 5. NFL salary cap feeling like the NBA these days.
