I'm happy for Forbes. He is a likeable guy, and he was in a bad place for a few weeks. Hopefully he can build on this and get some swagger back.

Brissett has been great. But after Howell has been around him for TC, preseason, and 8 games, is another 9 weeks that impactful that you choose that over a 6th rounder? I'd have taken the draft pick. Bring in another vet that could possibly give Howell another perspective to learn from.

If we win those games, we don't make those trades (which will help us in the long run) and we would be sitting at 6-3, and Harris might think Ron is a competent coach. Stinking up the joint in those games are a lose the battle but win the war type moments.

I just watched the game with a bunch of Pats fans, that was fun! Listening to them **** and moan about Mac and belichick was music to my ears. Now I want them to win some games so they don't get Maye.

I think our defense comes out with something to prove, and hopefully EB learned last week about the better OL lineup and play calling. I think we win 16-13.

I can't argue with that. Snyder selling was something I never thought I'd see in my lifetime, and I'm so thankful it happened. I should be grateful to all who helped make it happen. (I'm still not rooting for Kyle, rationality be damned lol)

Saints and Rams have proven in recent years that you can work around the salary cap if you have a core group that you feel you can win with. I think this has less to do with the salary cap and more to do with Harris realizing we aren't even close to being a contender. He inherited a mess and he knows it. So he'd rather acquire some assets to help build because signing high priced veterans is not our best course of action right now. As far as Howell, he is a good young QB who has done a great job considering his offensive line and two lackluster offensive coordinators in only nine games. Even though we are looking at a rebuild, it would be incredibly stupid to kick a good promising young quarterback to the curb and start over. He is the kind of guy you want to start over with

I never said my dislike for him was rational lol. And I have all the respect in the world for Kyle as an offensive mind. What he has done in Cleveland, Houston, Washington, Atlanta and San Francisco is all amazing. RG3 had a great season. Matt Ryan had an MVP season. He has San Francisco's offense humming with Trent Williams and four guys they got at the home Depot parking lot. I just don't like them because he has trashed this organization in the past. Yes, they deserved it. Yes, our front out office was a clown show. Yes, Snyder was an idiot and a jerk. But I'm still not going to root for the guy who is trashing our organization no matter how much the criticism was deserved. Again, I'm not pretending my dislike for shanahan is rational but I also do not want to see him or Trent or Chase win a championship.

I don't mind that they traded young. I'm just disappointed in the return and I'm absolutely disgusted by the fact that it's Kyle shanahan in the 49ers. We are going to see Trent Williams and Chase Young holding up a Lombardi and it's going to make me want to puke.

Of course the year we have a new owner / lame duck front office is the same year we have a pretty strong FA crop. I wish we had a competent group to assess whether each player had a chance of being extended or not, but that ship has sailed at this point. Really sucks as it relates to curl: I'd hate to see him go, but think the tag number is too high for him. Wish we were able to lock him up by now. I'd be heated if Allen or Payne is traded. I will not be losing any sleep over Sweat and young. Sad to know we won't get the same value that the nyg received for Williams, but that makes me even more excited for a new FO that maybe we can actually make good moves at some point in the near future. As far as brissett goes, I bet we are lucky to get a 6th. I'd be ecstatic with a 4th. I think the "he is a good mentor to sam" is a bit overblown. Brissett has been here for camp/preseason/8 games, not a big deal if he is not here for 8 more games if we can get a good pick out of it. If Howell gets hurt, oh well, we aren't going anywhere anyway.

Will be interesting to see what the next couple days bring. What is the over/under for players traded by Tuesday? I'd peg it at 1.5, probably lean to the under. I think someone gets moved (probably sweat), but wouldn't be surprised to see an additional name. Brissett to the vikes with cousins OFY?

He has been money. Even the little things like the ball placement to Logan Thomas and Brian Robinson as he was moving in the pocket allowed his receivers to keep stride and get some extra yards than if they had to slow down to catch them. Those throws are a lot harder than they look. Obviously improved play calling and a long overdue change to OL starting lineup have been major boosts too.
