This made my day thank you so much. Been too long.

I'm not thrilled about the Quinn hire, was hoping for a better HC hire, but I'll go into it with an open mind and try to find some reasons for optimism. Agree with importance of bringing in a solid OC. As far as the defensive side. He is well respected as a defensive Xs and Os guy. Immediate upgrade from last year. So with a healthy payne and Allen, along with the assumption we invest in a solid pass rusher, our d line should be pretty good. A good defensive coach with a good dline is a great starting point. Also include the enormous upgrade in GM from Rivera to peters to add talent to our back 7, and we should be competitive fairly quickly. Maybe not in 2024, but another top draft slot wouldn't be the worst thing either.

To all the negative reactions about Ben Johnson, the way he handled cancelling the meeting with us made him look bad for a fleeting moment. But 365 days from now, if he has another successful season with the lions, he will be just as hot of a HC candidate as he was this offseason. The only team that may still hold it against him will be us.

Did purdy tear his ucl again? -
Absolutely! And he got a ring the year before. All 7 of his seasons as OC in Seattle were winning seasons. He is currently working under offensive which Mike McDaniel, and has worked with QBs favre, Wilson, Lawrence, Stafford and Tua. Players respect him. He has a good resume and a ton of experience. Maybe he would be good for us bc he is not likely to be poached as a HC due to the fact he is not a shiny, new up and coming OC, and he isn't calling plays. The reason my first reaction was "please no" is I remember Seahawks fans complaining about Bevell towards the end of his tenure. It was probably tainted by his infamous play call, but people expected more out of an offense with Wilson/lynch/lockett/Baldwin/Graham. And their problem certainly wasn't the defense back in those days. "This week the Seattle Seahawks made many fans ecstatic when they fired both offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and assistant head coach/offensive line coach Tom Cable. Many fans saw the firings as long overdue for a pair they believe have underperformed with the assets the Seahawks have been given on the field" https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fieldgulls.com/platform/amp/2018/1/12/16882394/seattle-seahawks-following-herd-fire-bevell-cable-offensive-coordinator-line-miss-playoffs

My first reaction to seeing Darrell Bevell's name is "please no". I know Seahawks fans complained about him a lot. He called the play to throw it at the goal line instead of giving it to lynch in the super bowl. I think his track record is pretty meh, but he has a lot of experience. John Fox has been either HC/DC for awhile. Very experienced. Brought the gmen to super bowl 35 as DC and was HC in 2 super bowls w car and den. Overall winning record. He is 68 years old. Currently with Detroit, he could be a great candidate IMO to come over as DC and help Johnson learn the ropes as HC. Anthony Lynn was very well regarded, but his chargers HC tenure didn't help much. Lost a lot of close, winnable games. Worked with Johnson in Det and peters in SF. Would be a good OC hire imo. Kacy Rodgers was DC for the jets for 4 years and has been coaching in NFL since 2003. Won a ring in Tampa as DL coach. Currently co-DC. We all know Fraley is going to get some consideration.

I don't think it would actually happen, hence the .1% chance estimation. For both aspects you mentioned: BB doesn't want to work under another HC, especially one as green as Johnson. And on the flip side, do we actually want that due to the potential of BBs arrogance and stubbornness creating problems. Harris said this is such an important decision for him as owner, I don't see him bringing in a strong personality that could become disgruntled. Especially after toxic tenure after toxic tenure here, and trying to establish a new culture. However, I do think it will be VERY painful for BB to not be coaching this season. He probably won't know what to do with himself, considering he knows he isn't ready to retire bc the record is so close. And money talks. From Harris perspective, the man knows his Xs and Os, and how a championship team prepares and conducts itself. Ok, maybe .01% chance.
