  1. Not this year. Their schedule is hellish. If the defense improves, then maybe. As it stands, it's steaming-hot garbage.
  2. Looking at their schedule, if they split with the Giants, they could realistically go 3-14. Best case they go 5-12. Unfortunately, they will lose all tiebreakers to teams with the same record because their strength of schedule will be very high. A top-5 pick appears to be in their future.
  3. To have any chance at winning, Washington will need Josh Allen to make a contribution. If he doesn't turn the ball over, Buffalo will win. Bills 34-23
  4. That is such a low-IQ play by Chase Young.
  5. Wow! The score was 21-3 when I left. I return to 21-21. See a boneheaded play followed by a boneheaded coaching decision. I think I'll leave again.
  6. Denver will win in a low-scoring game 20-17. The offense still looks pedestrian.
  7. I'm sure a prediction thread is coming so I won't make a prediction, but the Commanders' schedule looks extremely difficult.😓
  8. Professional football is still a business. Chase has no legitimate reason to be upset, except with himself for how lousy he was playing before getting hurt. In fact, he was a nonfactor and looking like a bust before he got hurt. They would get virtually nothing for him if they traded him now.
  9. Another cornerback? The offense really needs an infusion of talent...now.
  10. If his weight is the biggest concern, he has the height to put on 10+ pounds of muscle. No one knows the future regarding any of these players. I like the pick, but only time will tell if it was a good or bad pick.
  11. Take my advice and stop hoping, wanting, and wishing. Just be an observer with zero expectations then every good thing that happens becomes a pleasant surprise. Expect no winning record until they have one. Expect no playoffs until they are actually in the playoffs. Expect no playoff success until they have playoff success. I don't hurt anymore, because they have not earned that type of faith from me to risk being hurt. Again, for my own mental health, I have zero expectations.
  12. The defense refuses to be outstunck by the offense. They have drawn a line in the sand of ineptitude.
  13. That's because Heinicke has moxie on the football which is a very slippery substance. It has the opposite effect of stickum.
  14. We've seen this hundreds of times over the many years where Washington scores a TD and the defense immediately gives it right back.
  15. If Wentz had had another ugly series, I honestly believe Heinicke would have started the second half.
  16. You have to know the offense to go up tempo and it appears that Wentz doesn't.
  17. Hamstring the offense or sabotage the offense, bad playcalling adds up to an L.
  18. The man leaves significant yards and points on the field every single game. Washington has no chance of a deep playoff run with Heinicke. His throws and decision-making are frightening. Wentz' arm gives the team a chance.
  19. IMHO, the defense has the team in the conversation for a playoff spot. Heinicke is a good dude but a well below average QB.
  20. I think the 49ers winning in a shutout is highly likely. Heinicke leaves points on the field every week, but the 9ers may not even afford him the opportunity. I can see the Washington offense being completely overwhelmed leading to easy points for the Niners offense or even a defensive TD or two. We can't dismiss some hangover from the Giants loss either. OTOH, I believe the Washington defense will play respectably. 49ers 27 Washington 6
  21. Heinicke is a good guy, but he is very limited as an NFL QB physically and mentally. He's very small with a very weak and inaccurate arm. Also, he doesn't see open receivers (or lurking defenders) and he doesn't throw receivers open. Unfortunately, because of the O-line's inability to protect the QB, Wentz would do even worse. He is like a deer in headlights when he is pressured at all. He actually makes a mediocre O-line look worse. Wentz would need the 1991 Hogs blocking for him in order for him to succeed.
