  1. Well said. I can absolutely hang my hat on the high quality of new ownership, new front office personnel, and new coaches. I know due diligence is being done by all to be a winning organization and team again.
  2. Over the years, the majority of these top QB prospects have not panned out and many ended up being busts. I hope when Washington rolls the dice they hit. Because it really is a roll of the dice.
  3. I appreciate you talking so positively about the draft class, but i have heard (and read) much more negative rhetoric than positive. Am I wrong.
  4. Now I'm back to being concerned that neither Maye nor Daniels is anything special. And IMHO JJ is not an option at #2. I've gone from Maye to Daniels to nobody to Daniels to nobody. It's starting to look like the wrong year to have the #2 pick if you need a QB. I'm not being convinced that anyone is good. The negatives about Maye and Daniels are strong from those who oppose them. There is a lot of "all or nothing" and very little "I'd be elated with either." It's very exhausting.
  5. Harbaugh trusted his defense and his running game more than JJ. But we are suppose to believe that JJ is a top-2 QB in this year's draft. Humph...it doesn't add up...literally.
  6. When the season ended, I wanted Drake Maye. Several weeks later, I changed my mind to Jayden Daniels. After hearing all the negativity of both QBs, I didn't want either guy. As of today, I'm back to wanting Jayden Daniels. I simply find myself hoping Washington takes him at #2. I believe he will end up being the best QB in this draft.
  7. This is why we have a front office and coaches. They get paid to make these decisions. If whoever they draft has to sit a year, then he sits a year. If I was 92 years old, I would probably want to see him play ASAP. But I'm 62 so I can wait a year.
  8. My brain has tilted from hearing it all. I hear people talk with such assurance and authority yet they have opposing viewpoints. What scares me is both viewpoints being right on why the other shouldn't be selected and neither QB ends up being the answer. The one thing I do know is Washington has to come out of this draft with a QB wherever they select him. It's possible they trade down and select one of the QB's no one is even talking about. Anything is possible although I don't think that will happen. I'm sure it will be either Maye or Daniels at pick #2. And my response will be, "Let's gooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!" as I hope for the best.🙏
  9. First, I wanted Drake Maye really bad. Then I wanted Jayden Daniels really bad. Now I don't know which QB I want. I'm starting to wonder if either will be successful in the NFL, because the focus seems to be on what they can't do. Not just here, but by analysts and talking heads. There seems to be so much not to like about both QBs. At this point, I will be happy with whoever Washington selects. I just hope they make the right decision...that the guy they choose will be a franchise QB.
  10. Anything is possible and I would love to see it. But no one should expect an immediate turnaround for a team picking #2 in the draft.
  11. Anyone expecting a team picking #2 in the draft to turn it around in one year should be drug tested. I'm talking turning it around in my lifetime. I am 62. Absolutely. It's why this fanbase deserves a winner.
  12. The new FO and coaching staff have their work cut out for them. There are holes everywhere. Thirty-two (32) years of mostly mediocre to atrocious teams is a lot to overcome. Optimism has been beaten out of me. I simply can't imagine future greatness. They are going to have to take me by the hand and show me. I appreciate others' optimism, but I'm just not there yet. A successful free agency, draft (especially at QB), and development of players feels virtually impossible. My Washington PTSD is real. Is there real optimism out there or just another year of blind faith?
  13. In its simplest form, the only culture that matters is a winning culture which includes habitual playoff success.
  14. I saw a post to a video where the person said Ron would race to the podium to get his long snapper in an effort to redeem himself regarding the Cheeseman pick.
  15. What a strange place to be. I want Dallas to win but I can't consciously root for them to win. I want Washington to lose but I can't consciously root for them to lose. This is really messed up.😐
  16. Stay put because Caleb may fall in their laps.
  17. It's my "opinion" that he is the best QB in this draft based on what my eyes have seen. If Caleb is drafted first by someone else, I hope they take Drake Maye. IMO, they must take a QB with their pick whoever is available when they pick. But Caleb is my first choice.
  18. If Washington ends up with the #2 pick, I don't want them to trade next year's first-round pick to move up one spot this year. If they do, I won't necessarily be happy about it. But if they end up getting their franchise QB for the next 10 years or more, I will be the happiest fan in America. And, IMHO, they should only do it for Caleb Williams.
  19. What good are bunch of bullets if you don't have a gun to shoot them?
  20. When their schedule first came out I posted in a thread that Washington's record would be 3-14 to no better than 5-12. IMO, their schedule looked incredibly tough. Although very difficult, it turned out their schedule wasn't as tough as I thought it would be. Instead, Washington proved to be incredibly bad.
  21. My observations after watching Caleb Williams' highlights: 1. He looks very small which is a bit concerning. 2. He reminds me of the great Fran Tarkenton when he scrambles around in the pocket. For those who don't know, look him up. He was a nightmare for defenses when plays broke down. 3. His arm (combined with his vision) makes him a threat anywhere on the field. The first time I saw Caleb play, which was last year, he looked like a man among boys. I was thinking he's the kind of QB Washington needs but will have no chance of getting. They absolutely can get him if they want him.
  22. 100% agree. This team has too many holes to be trading away picks. If anything, they need to add picks where reasonably possible.
