  1. I'm going to look into getting the sketchiest medical license possible and make a fortune off of people's fake pain.
  2. Yes. It will be decriminalized soon, maybe a few weeks. After that, it’ll probably become legal for at least medical use next year or in a few years.
  3. I can see some dumb kid (but i repeat myself) "sign up" at like 15, and now they're a member, but smarten up by 16 and realize that the group's values are abhorrent and made up of terrible people or whatever. Or just lose interest as teenagers do. But I don't think these types of groups necessarily have an unsubscribe option. So the kid is "a member" forever, even if he's long since left the group and never really bought in anyways. I dunno, I'm not real big on punishing people for the stupid **** they did when they were dumb**** teenagers. That said, the person in question should definitely be subjected to a thorough investigation to make sure they really are totally removed from it.
  4. Membership in a white supremacist or neo-Nazi group won't necessarily get a U.S. service member tossed out of the military, defense officials told a House subcommittee Tuesday. The officials, including representatives of Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the Army's Criminal Investigation Division, appeared to make a distinction between membership in an extremist organization and "active participation" in deciding on recruitment and retention. The officials also told a hearing of the House Armed Services subcommittee on personnel that they had no reliable data on how many service members had been administratively discharged for espousing white supremacist ideology or how many potential recruits had been barred from enlisting. The testimony appeared to stun several members of the committee. "I am flummoxed by what I've heard today," Rep. Jackie Speier, D-California, chair of the Subcommittee, said after questioning Robert Grabosky, deputy director of Law Enforcement at the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Grabosky said that membership in a white nationalist group "is not prohibited," but "active participation" in the group could lead to an administrative discharge, at a commander's discretion.
  5. Finally, Arlington won't be a conclave of lawbreakers (at least not for this specific reason). ***** This happened about 4 miles from my house over the weekend.
  6. I love the Olympics. 2 weeks of watching crazy sports that you only see once every four years and you are automatically assigned a desperate rooting interest by nationality. The 2020 Summer Olympics are being held in Tokyp Japan, which is great. This is the second Olympics in a row hosted by actual civilization after the previous 2 were hosted by a dystopian nightmare (Sochi) and a chemical toilet (Rio), respectively. It starts July 24. Anyways, this year should be ****ING AMAZING. I am so excited. It’s really early, so I’ll keep adding to this OP, but here are the big early stories. Russia is ****ing BANNED Seriously, **** Russia in all respects. They had a state sponsored cheating regime. Its like if Donald Trump directed the CIA to steal signs for the Astros AND ALSO TO INJECT THEM WITH ROIDS. The NY Times describes it as “a yearslong cheating scheme that has tarnished sports, rendered Russia a sports pariah and exacerbated tension between Moscow and the West.” Russia as a country is banned, but some Russian individuals may be able to compete. You’ll be able to identify them because the women will have dicks and the men will have 2 dicks. Boo the **** out of Russians. Simone Biles is Superhuman Full disclosure, Simone Biles is my 4 year old’s hero. She is also my hero. She is already the greatest gymnast of all time. She had to deal with the ****ing Larry Nassar ****. Her Insta feed is amazing. She has 25 gold medals in Olympics and world championships. You can easily google her incredibleness, but the most recent thing is she is evidently planning on doing a vault that no other woman has ever even attempted. Mascots These are the mascots. Per my usual, i have done no research but have named these two HADUKEN, the fennec fox who arrives to work first and is the last to leave, and Sailor Moon Pokemon Girl, because clearly I don’t know how Japanese culture works.
  7. Had dinner at Komi tonight. 100% lived up to its reputation.
  8. Thank you, Uber, for transporting me from the bar to my liquor cabinet.
  9. I sweat to god, "LEEDS Certification", the designation they give to energy efficient buildings, is just an excuse for the landlord to not provide heat in the winter. My firm's new building is a ****ing meatlocker.
  10. Yea, I thought about investing in it recently, but it doesn't seem sustainable. Note the dive at the end.
  11. If they didn't license lawyers who drink and do drugs, there wouldn't be very many.
  12. I sold out as soon as I had the proper licensure to do so, for this reason.
  13. https://www.housingwire.com/articles/loan-marketplace-lendedu-accused-of-selling-its-lender-rankings-to-the-highest-bidder/ Loan marketplace LendEDU accused of selling its lender rankings to the highest bidder
  14. That trip in next on my list. I want to go to the Haro Wine Festival. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haro_Wine_Festival

  16. Wifey is 9 months pregnant. Prior to Go Day, I invited her whole crew over for brunch. All told, i made 20 eggs benedict. I only got a picture of 12 of them. After 90 minutes of bottomless mimosas, I could not convince them to let me get a picture before they started grabbing. Respect the garnish.
  17. I don’t think one “looks scarier” than the other. /shrugs. I also didn’t post the entire law, there are other criteria that could define a certain gun as an assault weapon. Anyways, lines gotta be drawn, sorry if you don’t think this particular law is perfect. It’s also 30 years old at this point and, unfortunately, we know a lot more about mass shootings now.
