AP: Police: Plane circling Mississippi city threatens to crash
PCS replied to Cooked Crack's topic in The Tailgate
Looks like the plane is down in a field that may be about 40 miles away from Tupelo. Reporter on scene says it appeared to have landed instead of crashed. -
NY Post: Nightclub bans staring without verbal consent.
PCS replied to Die Hard's topic in The Tailgate
I threw a lot of people out of the bars when I was a bouncer/bartender and for many reasons. I'm not sure if I would laugh my ass off, have a shot or 3,or both if someone asked/told me to toss someone out for staring. Yikes -
Damn. Considering where those funnels are at, that's surprising to say least. Both areas. Moab. Sheesh.

Game Day Thread - Commanders 'n Chiefs (No Politics In The Stadium Edition)

May be preseason ,but that drive was fun to watch. -
Since 1987, I've owned 4 vehicles. 1 77' CJ5,and 3 trucks. All manual transmission. Perfect for driving the Rocky Mountains and Sierra Nevada. I remember being on leave in 85 and visiting my mom in Salt Lake during the Summer. She gave a quick lesson on her truck,(which I later bought),on her nice flat road in the West Valley. Then sent my brother and I out. Yeah. Driving a manual transmission for the first time in the foothills of SLC was, well ,problematic. I'm sure there are folks to this day who get a good laugh at the memory of that rookie stick shift driver popping the clutch, stalling in intersections, and generally making every mistake one can make while driving that thing around the valley. This was of course, very entertaining to my youngest brother, who decided to ride the whole thing out in the rear cab of the truck,(probably the safest place ). Gave him more room to roll around in laughter. I remember telling family and friends later on I knew I was in trouble when I looked down at the pedals and saw 3 of them. This concerned me at the time because I only had 2 feet. Anyway. I kind of figured for awhile now that this old truck. would be my last one with a manual transmission and I know I'll miss it.

Not enough. Yet.

Well this would be the 6th or 7th one I have found in the last few days as I start the latest remodel the back/side yard project. She was the biggest one so far. I've relocated several of them to areas away from any high traffic area but a few didn't make it either. There will be more over the next few weeks I'm sure. Good thing I'm not skiddish with these things.

Pretty good little feast for the wife and I tonight. Homemade potato salad, watermelon, and of course spare ribs.

Well that'll do it for yet another year. Now time to see how all these picks work out.

Stopped going to Wolfpack games after his Freshman year. Looks like he would have been fun to watch. That said, he could be fun to watch this next season. Big tall guy like that who can catch like he appears to do is a cool,"throw it over there somewhere and he'll catch it" option. -
