This was about 7-8 hours ago and the Tsunami waves have been hitting the coast for several hours. Largest,(2 feet or so),should be hitting now.

Well, the time has come. Knew it was coming and have been dreading it. Looks like my little angle has finally started that downhill turn that they do when they're at an advanced age. She's nearly 16 and that's advanced for her breed. She's been a great dog and I am glad for the time we have had. We're watching her closely while we wait to take her to the vet. She probably won't make it to that date and we're not going to have her suffer trying to get there. Never easy at these times but it's good to have all those nice memories. That and being accepted as her "Daddy Jay." She's not been one to give that love to just anyone. She's sleeping comfortably right now. A lot like this.

Well,my brother,sister in law,and nephew got sick and he and his wife sported up and down fevers,(top end low grade),for several days. Decided after 4 days to get tested for "the other thing". Yep. Positive. Everyone vaxxed,(unsure of being boosted),so things weren't too horrible but they were a bit miserable. Work wise,I'm very much on guard. Tensions are starting to really run high now. It would appear management has been less than open with info about coworkers testing positive so watching for those who may not show up for awhile. Too many Fox/Breitbart members of the work force there and one or more of them are likely to say something stupid about the deaths of the coworkers and things could get out of hand. Add to that some of them come in on their off time maskless even though the place mandates them. And of course in the Red area I live in, there's the often mentioned maskless wonders who populate the place. Even my patience is running very much thin. I tend to mutter things under my breath that would get my fired or in a fight or both. Masks I wear comes in handy for that as well. Locally, we're sitting at an 18.8% positivity rate and climbing. 3 1/2 weeks ago we were sitting at 7.7.

Sigh. People let their kids wander around outside and play on social media unsupervised this is what happens.

2 co workers passed this past week 1 to covid the other more than likely of the same. 1 more in the hospital but no word on if its covid or not. Better than 50/50 chance it is imho. Very difficult to be nice to the covidiots in here today.

Reading that thread it gets even better,(or worse depending on one's point of view).

So many of my memories of Washington in its heyday are tied in with Pat Summerall and John Madden calling the games. Watching any game was more fun with them calling it but even more so when it was Washington. Great quotes from him during those days 2. Going to paraphrase a couple but they're close to what they were. About Gary Clark. Gary catches the ball and digs out some tough yards. Summerall says that Clark would be a good start with the All Madden Team. John responded with "Yeah that's what you do with the Madden Team. You start with ol' number 84 and go from there." It was either Bostic or Grimm. Think it was Grimm. Offense on the field and there's a little blood mixed in with the mud on Grimm's arm. Madden says something like "That Grimm. He could play in the 20's,40's,30's whenever. He just rubs some dirt on it and goes back to playing." Something like that. RIP John. Thanks for all the fun.

From what I gather, these storms are making a bit of a dent,but yeah they say it'll take some more of these to make really good progress.
