Interesting. So, the Supreme Court has said that they're cool with holding a person who organizes a protest liable for what the attendees of said protest, do. That might be of considerable interest, to a former President.

Back when I was first in college, I had an English professor tell me that if he needed to pad the bibliography for a paper? He would list "Asimov's Guide To (whatever the paper was about). He said Asimov had written so many books, there's a chance it exists. And even if it doesn't, the grader will probably shrug and just assume Asimov had written it.

Just coming in to say. Every time I see this thread, I hear Gabby Johnson in Blazing Saddles saying "The Sheriff is near!" I'll leave now, since I know absolutely nothing about the Nats. Just making a joke about the thread title. -

Getting a really bad feeling. Because of the number of people I know, who seem pretty intelligent, who will flat out state that Trump is going to win the election because Joe Biden's clear dementia means he's too dangerous to be President. Because they've seen "all the videos". Because "every country in the world thinks we're a joke, for electing him."

Recall once seeing part of a speech about weapons and things that had an interesting statistic. According to the NCIC, the FBI's crime database, for the most recent year (note, this was like 30 years ago): Out of all the people in the US who got shot, 92% of them survived. Out of all the people in the US who got stabbed, 85% of them survived.

Been thinking for a while that one explanation for how the economy adds 300,000 jobs a month, for 36 months in a row, to an economy where boomers are retiring faster than teenagers are entering the job market, is that somebody is filling those jobs.
