It just seems to me like he's actually coaching the witness that "What the statute actually says isn't good. So, try to pretend that it actually says something different, so we can make a ruling that actually disagrees with what the statute says."

Interesting. So, the Supreme Court has said that they're cool with holding a person who organizes a protest liable for what the attendees of said protest, do. That might be of considerable interest, to a former President.

Back when I was first in college, I had an English professor tell me that if he needed to pad the bibliography for a paper? He would list "Asimov's Guide To (whatever the paper was about). He said Asimov had written so many books, there's a chance it exists. And even if it doesn't, the grader will probably shrug and just assume Asimov had written it.

Just coming in to say. Every time I see this thread, I hear Gabby Johnson in Blazing Saddles saying "The Sheriff is near!" I'll leave now, since I know absolutely nothing about the Nats. Just making a joke about the thread title. -
But I don't want to live in the country that a lot of us deserve.
