    Getting a really bad feeling. Because of the number of people I know, who seem pretty intelligent, who will flat out state that Trump is going to win the election because Joe Biden's clear dementia means he's too dangerous to be President. Because they've seen "all the videos". Because "every country in the world thinks we're a joke, for electing him."

    Recall once seeing part of a speech about weapons and things that had an interesting statistic. According to the NCIC, the FBI's crime database, for the most recent year (note, this was like 30 years ago): Out of all the people in the US who got shot, 92% of them survived. Out of all the people in the US who got stabbed, 85% of them survived.

    Been thinking for a while that one explanation for how the economy adds 300,000 jobs a month, for 36 months in a row, to an economy where boomers are retiring faster than teenagers are entering the job market, is that somebody is filling those jobs.

    Haven't seen numbers. But I suspect you're looking at which states vote, as a whole, for President. Just an opinion, but I'd bet there's lots of states where the state votes D, 51-49. But the states congressmen are 17-6 Republican. Something to do with districts being drawn by state legislatures where the state votes D, but the legislature is R.
