Forehead
The beginning of the sport closest to my heart. Football may be my favorite, but I played baseball for 16-17 years, umpired for 10, and it's always got a special place for me. I was a pitcher, and nothing beats walking onto a freshly mown diamond, lines painted, getting ready to take the mound. Let's go Nats.

I love football, but baseball was my first love. I think alot of it has to do with playing baseball for so many years. I always get excited for baseball season, even if I know the Orioles have no hope.

Teller
Neal Huntington, you're about to give me another man crush. Looks like soon the Bucs rotation will be Correia, Bedard, Burnett, Karstens, McDonald/Morton; arguably the best rotation top-to-bottom in the NL Central. Why...not...US?!?!?!?! Teller
RIP, Kid. Gary Carter played the game as it was supposed to be played. Meanwhile, I still await news on the Burnett deal. Sounds like probably Sunday. According to several sources, the Bucs are the only team still in the running. :fingerscrossed: *edit* http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/yankees/era_near_an_end_4oNCbhRuIa9z8eEgmon5gL

royallypwned
I can't believe he turned down a trade to the Angels. He wouldn't even be better than any of their current starters, so why would he want to go to the Angels?
MattFancy
He wouldn't even be better than any of their current starters, so why would he want to go to the Angels? Good point. I was kinda hoping the O's wold get him. Not like our rotation would be any worse with him.
Slateman
Burnett doesn't want to go to the West Coast. He wants to be near his house and family. The Astros have the same issue with Carlos Lee in Houston. He's bought a ranch or something out there and refuses to allow himself to be traded.
