jbooma
Making my home town proud http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5038461/ Finds Rare Blue-Eyed CicadaWRC-TV6:29 p.m. EDT May 21, 2004 - By now, most of us have seen a lot of cicadas and their red eyes. But, did you know there are also blue-eyed cicadas? Seven-year-old Jordan Simo (pictured, below), of Tuckahoe Elementary School in Arlington, found a cicada with blue eyes. He compared the blue-eyed bug to a typical red-eyed bug. Simo's research tells him that in 1987, the last time the cicadas emerged, only two of the blue-eyed bugs were found. Dan T.
The blue-eyed ones belong to the supposedly superior Aryan race of ciadas.

SKINtil8tin
I went to O'Connel High School which is right across the street from Tuckahoe. I talked to a teacher from there just last week and she told me that all the h.s. kids were looking for the special cicada with blue eyes. I had no idea what she was talking about. It's hilarious a 7 yr. old found it.

Riggo-toni
Blue Eyed Cicadas are cool, but it's those ones with the white turbans around their antennae that migrate south from Canada really scare me...
