Lavarleap56
I am more than pleased we finally have someone who will get some payback when we play the Eagles!! It is the time for Sean Taylor to body slam Pinkston,Mcnabb or whoever like Dawkins did to Russell.
spm
Winslow has a bad attitude, bad agents, and is dumb as a box of rocks, which is not good
O.S.F
What is it about his character? I think it's not just one thing. It's the continuing soap opera episodes, and god knows we don't need any more of that around here.. http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59039&highlight=poston http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=58753&highlight=poston
Heavy-Jumbo
Anytime you have the opportunity to take the best defensive player in the entire draft with the 5th pick you've done OK! And as spm so aptly said ..."bad attitude and DUMB AS A BOX OF ROCKS" I don't believe that KW2 ever was seriously considered for the 5th pick. monkey66
Couldn't be happier... I keep thinking back to the Copeland / Edwards days and it brings a smile to my face.
skns4life
i think we made the right pick...he's going to be a beast for us for a long time...hopefully we can sign him to be a redskin for his entire career.
skinsarethebest
didn't sean taylor match up against fitzgerald and competely shut him down?
BG
WOW! Quite a lopsided poll..... I think that article about the Postons and Winslow has gotten some converts
japre8
You guys should be VERY happy with the Sean Taylor pick. He will do wonders for your defense. PLus on the bright side, Eli MAnning will get to face Sean TAylor, Roy Williams, and Briam Dawkins twice a year each!
Utah
Taylor was the right choice. Way too much to pass up.
The Full Monty
Yes, the middle of Fed Ex Field is no longer Shockey's personal playground. T.O. and Keyshawn better get used to the sight of Sean Taylor standing over them in digust-laced triumph.
Kevin West
I'm thrilled. Taylor was the best Defensive player available and will be a pre-season favorite for rookie of the year. And while it would've been nice to add quality to the D-line, highly placed sources tell me that there will be another draft in 2005.
The Consigliere
Wanted the trade down. There's is very little doubt in my mind that the rumored Pats deal (5 for 20 and 21 and possibly a little more) would have been the better options considering we could (at least if I were GM) grabbed both Udeze and Wilfork and for a total signing bonus at least 25% less than what Taylor will command. Taylor will probably prove to be a very good player, I hope so anyway, but it wasn't the right move in my view. Not with a DL like ours, and pro bowl caliber safeties available fairly often for a signing bonus of about a 1/3 of what Taylor will command. UK Skins
Once it came down to a straight fight between KW2 and Taylor I realised I really wanted the safety. It was a combination of our lack of success at that position, plus the importance to Williams' defence and also partly the suspicions about Winslow's character and choice of agents. I was thrilled to bits when I saw his name come up, he should be a great addition to our team.
jschlesi
Yes, I am happy Sean will help our defense. Looking at hopw late the dline prospects went I would not have been unhappy about trading down though.
SkinsNorth
Taking taylor was the right move IMO. It would have been great to tradedown and address the DL, but until I see something from a credible source, I believe that a worthwhile deal was not available. taylor will improve our D
sweepea436
I love defense so I like the pick. If he can replay some of those highlight reel plays in Burgundy and Gold.....Can't wait for the season to start
Burgold
Somewhat happy with taylor (Taylor over Winslow made sence), but would have been happier with trade down. Just not excited by this draft. Felt that way last year too. Taylor is an understandable pick just like Jacobs was last year... but, I question whether he was the best pick. >>Spearhead>>
It was a weak draft other than WRs which obviously we don't need. Taylor was the best player for us to take with the #5 pick, period. There was nothing worth trading down for.
