Reportedly would leave us with 60mil+ in space, but with less than 40 players under contract.

The ‘effective’ cap space number is around 48mil when assuming you complete the minimum roster level with players on minimum contract deals value wise.

Clearly we’ll retain players on bigger deals that that, we also have contracts we could look to shed or restructure. Some losses and gains there against the cap.

For me, a conservative estimate would be that would could utilise a good 20-25mil in cap space in ‘external’ free agency whilst still retaining a healthy cap space buffer for 2022 in season moves.

Should be able to bring in 2 or 3 high end players with that, unless we go big at the QB position. Different story then.

Signing Mclauren and Payne to LTD's this off-season should mean a low 2022 cap hit also, probably get both there cap figures together under 10m cap hit for the first year.

How difficult will it be for our division rivals to sign draft picks (10-16 million), re-sign pending free agents, or fix holes in the roster if they've got negative room to work with?

Uh....very difficult? So wouldn’t extra cap room help US more than them...? Am i missing something here?

Right, very difficult with a lower cap.  Compared to us with plenty of cap and none of those difficulties.  Now give them extra cap room that let's them breath easier and wiggle out of bad contracts.

Oh that makes sense. Yeah. That would help them more.

We'll have enough money to extend pretty much whoever we want won't we? We're gonna need to look at keeping Leno won't we? Did Landon play himself into another year here as a LB?

At what point do we extend TH? Can't let him go into next year without an extension can we? We gotta keep him in the fold and reward him if he leads us to the playoffs.
