States and Federal officials bringing indictments against Trump and other Republicans for voter fraud

Lansing — Then-President Donald Trump's campaign directly orchestrated the filing of a certificate, signed by 16 Michigan Republicans, that falsely claimed he won the state's 2020 election, according to internal campaign emails obtained by The Detroit News.

The documents, which have become part of Attorney General Dana Nessel's ongoing investigation into the slate of false electors, showed that Trump's campaign staff helped coordinate the Republicans' gathering inside state party headquarters on Dec. 14, 2020. Then, Trump's team prepared the official mailing of the false certificate to Vice President Mike Pence and the National Archives, according to the emails.

Later, when it was unclear whether the Michigan and Wisconsin certificates would make it to Washington, D.C., in time for the counting of electoral votes on Jan. 6, 2021, Trump supporters, along with campaign employees, developed and executed a plan to fly the certificates there themselves.

The apparent objective was to bolster claims that the November 2020 presidential election was "rigged" and ultimately "void the results favoring" Democrat Joe Biden, wrote lawyer Kenneth Chesebro, who helped create the electors plan, in a Jan. 1, 2021, email to Boris Epshteyn, a top Trump adviser.

"Alternatively, if Biden is simply held to under 270 by virtue of electoral votes not being counted (even though 'appointed'), or by virtue of a switch to legislature-certified electors, then the election gets thrown to the House," lawyer John Eastman, who was assisting the Trump campaign, wrote in another email on Jan. 1, 2021. "If the Republicans there hold true and vote with their state delegations, Trump should win a bare majority of the states."

Epshteyn responded to Eastman's message on Jan. 1, 2021, by questioning whether the information needed to be edited before it was sent to members of Congress.

The emails conflicted with the public comments of Michigan Republican leaders who said the false electors certificate was merely an attempt to give Trump a chance if the courts eventually overturned the election.

If their election was deemed fraudulent, then that might excuse these fake electors. If they managed to send the fake elector votes to Congress to be substituted for the certified electoral votes, then that's insurrection. So were their fake votes sent to Congress! That question needs answered.

Still might be a federal crime.

'The motion is therefore moot': Fulton County judge hands Trump another loss

On Wednesday, while former President Donald Trump was in a New York courtroom during writer E. Jean Carroll's defamation trial, the judge overseeing Trump's RICO case in Georgia ruled against him.

Politico legal correspondent Kyle Cheney tweeted the ruling from Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee, who denied a motion from Trump's lawyers to disclose non-public evidence that House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack supposedly shared with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

"[T]he Court finds it is unable to grant the Defendant's requested relief as the items requested do not exist, and that the state has adequately addressed the other concerns raised by defense counsel. The motion is therefore moot," McAfee wrote.

Fani Willis accuses estranged wife of special prosecutor of ‘interfering’ with Trump election case

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is accusing the estranged wife of a special prosecutor she hired of trying to obstruct her criminal election-interference case against former President Donald Trump and others by seeking to question her in the couple’s divorce proceedings.

A motion filed last week by a defense attorney in the election case alleges that Willis was involved in a romantic relationship with attorney Nathan Wade. A lawyer for Willis wrote in a filing Thursday that lawyers for Wade’s wife, Joycelyn Wade, served a subpoena to the district attorney last week.

The filing says that the subpoena is being sought “in an attempt to harass and damage” Willis’ professional reputation and accuses Joycelyn Wade of having “conspired with interested parties in the criminal Election Interference Case to use the civil discovery process to annoy, embarrass, and oppress” the district attorney.

Lindsey Graham Completely ‘Threw Trump Under the Bus’ During Grand Jury Testimony in Georgia: New Book

The always tenuous alliance between Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and former President Donald Trump appears to have hit the rocks — a new book reveals.

According to a new book by Michael Isikoff and Daniel Klaidmanin titled,“Find Me the Votes: A Hard-Charging Georgia Prosecutor, a Rogue President, and the Plot to Steal an American Election,” the South Carolina senator “threw Trump under the bus” when he testified before the grand jury in Georgia back in November 2022.

In a brief preview of the book published by Politico on Wednesday, the authors reported Graham “turned on a dime” after fighting a subpoena in the case for four months. As part of his testimony, Graham reportedly said that if you told Trump “Martians came and stole the election, he’d probably believe you.”

The authors also detailed a “strange encounter” between Graham and Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis after the senator’s testimony.

From the book:

Quote

“He bumped into Fani Willis in a hallway and thanked her for the opportunity to tell his story. ‘That was so cathartic,’ he told Willis. ‘I feel so much better.’ Then, to the astonishment of one source who witnessed the scene, South Carolina’s senior senator hugged the Fulton County DA who was aggressively pursuing Trump. Willis’s reaction: ‘She was like “whatever, dude,”‘”

It would be a hell of a time for States with Dem governors, senate and house...... and the ability to create/pass laws to make some based on the fraud that was attempted in 2020 to install mandatory prison terms or long-term minimums and huge fines. Made what Powell and Ellis pled guilty for in Georga, come with a decade in prison and a million in fines with no way for a judge to go with a lesser sentence.

Lindsay Graham is the absolute epitome of a political coward.
**** that little pansy.

So cathartic.. imagine how much better you'd feel if you had a SPINE Lindsay? Imagine how much more self respect you'd have if you had a shred of courage.

****ing guy enabled this ****, backed it. Argued for it, used his power to further it.

So cathartic to come clean about it all well after the fact, and after having to be dragged into court.

You're only saying that because of his looks.

And his voice.

And his actions.

Cyberattack hits Georgia county where Trump faces election interference charges

A cyberattack that hit government systems in Fulton County, Georgia, over the weekend affected the offices of the district attorney who is prosecuting former President Donald Trump on election interference charges, local officials said Monday.

All desktop phones, intranet and devices using county servers are down for all departments, including District Attorney Fani Willis' office, said a county official with knowledge of the situation.

County employees received an email notification about the outage Monday, the official said.

Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Robb Pitts confirmed at a news briefing Monday afternoon that the outage, which he said affected the county’s phones, courts and tax systems, "was a result of a cybersecurity incident" and that law enforcement was investigating.

"We do not yet have a specific time frame for when these systems will be restored," Pitts said.

“At this time, we are not aware of any transfer of sensitive information about citizens or employees, but we will continue to look carefully at this issue,” he added.

A spokesperson for Willis’ office declined to comment on the cyberattack.

Fani Willis, the DA who charged Trump in Georgia, subpoenaed by House GOP

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has subpoenaed District Attorney Fani Willis of Fulton County, Georgia, demanding documents from her office following allegations that Willis fired a whistleblower who tried to stop a top campaign aide from misusing federal funds.

The subpoena, obtained by NBC News, is part of a broader probe by Jordan, R-Ohio, and House Republicans into whether Willis used federal funds in conducting her more-than-two-year investigation into former President Donald Trump, who was indicted in Fulton County last year on charges that he attempted to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results. Trump has pleaded not guilty.

In a letter Friday, Jordan says Willis has failed to comply with two earlier requests for documents related to her office’s use of federal grant money. The subpoena calls on the district attorney’s office to provide documents and communications “referring or relating to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office’s receipt and use of federal funds” and “referring or relating to any allegations of the misuse of federal funds.”

Former county clerk faces trial on election interference while claiming God is on her side

Tina Peters, a crusading promoter of election fraud claims and former Mesa County Clerk, begins her jury trial Friday, Feb. 9, in Grand Junction, Colo. The area is represented by firebrand congresswoman Rep. Lauren Boebert, whose staff has aided Peters’ efforts.

Peters faces 10 charges, including seven felonies, for allowing unauthorized people to copy secure data from voting machines she oversaw, sharing the data online and at a conference hosted by Mike Lindell of MyPillow fame, and trying to cover up her crimes.

“They’re coming after Christians,” Peters claimed in a December podcast. She draws much of her support from evangelical churches and the Truth and Liberty Coalition, the political arm of health-and-wealth preacher Andrew Wommack.

“They’re coming after our Constitution,” Peters said. “And when I say ‘they,’ these are global elitists that want to take down America because they cannot do what they want to do for a one-world government until they do that.”

State cases against Trump allies like Peters are moving forward in Georgia, Michigan and Nevada, even as federal charges against Trump for plotting to overturn the results of the 2020 election await their day in court.

Data provided by Peters and others has been used in a series of reports promoted by Lindell and Wommack who claim that in 2020, machines from Dominion Voting Systems experienced “a critical security failure” that allowed fake ballots to be tallied.

The reports also claim “the Dominion voting machine was illegally embedded with 36 wireless devices which could enable cell phones and other external computers to access the machine and alter the election results,” a claim debunked by experts and that Dominion has prevailed against in court in a lawsuit against Fox News.

Peters denies she did anything wrong, says she was acting as a whistleblower and claims God is on her side. But she has faced a series of setbacks:

  • She was prevented from having anything to do with elections as she served out the remainder of her term as county clerk.
  • She mounted an unsuccessful run for Colorado secretary of state in 2022.
  • In 2023, she was sentenced to home detention and community service in a separate misdemeanor obstruction conviction.
  • In November, a judge dismissed her final attempt to delay her trial.
  • Sandra Brown and Belinda Knisley, two of her former clerks and partners in crime, pleaded guilty to similar charges and have agreed to testify against her.

Manhattan Court Judge already ruled this morning that the hush money and fake business records felony case can proceed as scheduled on March 25th. Yay! The first criminal trial and it's a state one, one that Trump can't jettison if he's re-elected (not happening). So first conviction before the summer? That's my prediction!
