According to the Sun Journal, police did not reveal the man's relationship to the market or what led up to the injury but did say it involved a meat-cutting band saw that was used to process meat in the rear of the store. After speaking with numerous witnesses and reviewing hours of both store and neighboring footage, police say it appears the incident was self-inflicted. Jose Manuel Guzman, 32, told investigators with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office that he “lost control” after his sister told him she was involved in a sexual relationship with an unknown man, according to the arrest affidavit. Guzman explained to authorities he had been involved in a sexual relationship with his sister, Karla Mariela Marroquin Chavez de Ortiz. Guzman said he had reunited with his sister and had become romantically involved with her, which he knew was wrong. Guzman claims he fell in love with the victim. Court documents described how Guzman said he killed Chavez de Ortiz. Guzman said on Feb. 3, he used a baseball bat and an electric hand-held massager in the killing. China Posted February 18, 2022 Author Share Posted February 18, 2022 1 dead, 1 injured in dog attack at rescue organization in Oakland Park A large mix-breed dog named Gladys killed a woman on Thursday morning at the 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida facility in Oakland Park. Claudinne Caro, a Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, said the dog also injured another woman who was trying to save the victim just before 11 a.m., at 345 E. Commercial Blvd. The nonprofit organization released a statement on Facebook: “Our Hearts are Broken for our Dear Friend Pam. our deepest condolences to her family & friends. We are All grieving & ask for you to please give us time to process this great misfortune & loss of our Dear friend. We thank you for your love & patience.” Oakland Park Fire Rescue personnel took both women to a hospital where a doctor pronounced one of them dead. The Associated Press reports Cynthia Perkins and her now ex-husband Dennis Perkins were both arrested in October 2019 and charged with two counts of first-degree rape, 60 counts of producing porn involving a juvenile under the age of 13, and with a slew of other child sex crime charges. Cynthia was reportedly a teacher in Livingston Parish while her husband, Dennis, was a Livingston Parish sheriff's deputy at the time of their arrest. Per her plea agreement, Cynthia reportedly admits she assisted her husband in sexually assaulting a juvenile, helped her husband film a juvenile bathing, and also admitted to lacing cupcakes with her then-husband's sperm before feeding them to school children. Cynthia will also testify against her former husband, as per the plea deal, according to Louisiana Assistant Attorney General Barry Milligan. Police will allege the two men, who were known to each other, drove together to Fitzgerald Park in Innisfail and sat under a tree at 3.48am on Saturday. About 20 minutes later, the men’s alleged “arrangement” turned grisly. Police say a 36-year-old man used a circular saw to cut off a 66-year-old Innisfail man’s leg below the knee. The younger man helped the older man back to a car before he fled the scene on foot after allegedly using the older man’s own saw to carry out the botched amputation. The older man was found by passers-by in the street and was pronounced dead when emergency services arrived a short time later. The 31-year-old man, who has been identified only by his surname Li, was held captive and had 27 ounces of blood drained from him every month for six months. It is believed that the gang who kidnapped Li sold his blood to private buyers online. A normal blood donation usually takes around 16 ounces - 11 ounces less than the amount drained from Li - which is around 8 per cent of the average blood volume of an adult. As a result of the excessive blood extraction, Li, who managed to escape the gang earlier this month, had multiple organ failures and his arms were covered with bruises from the needles. The victim told Beijing Youth Daily he had been trafficked last June after going to China's southwestern region of Guangxi in response to a job advert for work as a nightclub bouncer. The hand and placentas were plastinated, a common preservation method for museums and research, before being shipped from the Amazonas State University (UEA) in Manaus, Brazil. Police then carried out an anti-trafficking raid after receiving information about the possible trafficking of human remains, and a professor from the school’s anatomy lab has been suspended. If found guilty of international trafficking of human organs, he will face up to 8 years in prison. “According to the investigations, the accused send plastinated human organs to Singapore. Plastination is a modern technical process for preserving biological material, which basically consists of removing bodily fluids (water and fixing solutions) and fats, through chemical methods, substituting them for plastic resins like silicon, polyester and epoxy, resulting in dry, odourless and durable tissues,” said the Brazilian Federal Police in a statement. When New South Wales Police officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old man bleeding profusely from the groin. The man reportedly told them that he had amputated his own penis with a multitool before placing the severed organ in a drawer and then calling for help. The officers rushed the injured man, and the detached body part, to Wollongong Hospital where he immediately underwent emergency surgery and is understood to be in a critical condition. The officers who arrived first on the scene are believed to have been offered counselling to help them get over what they saw. It is unclear why the man chose to mutilate himself. NSW Police does not comment on self-harm incidents as a matter of policy. A similar case was discussed in a paper published earlier this month in the Journal of Medical Case Reports by doctors from Chiang Mai University in Thailand. In that case, a 23-year-old Thai man, who was a regular cannabis user, smoked two bongs of cannabis, equivalent to approximately two grams’ worth. A couple of hours later he began to experience an unwanted and very painful erection. He also told doctors that the tip of the penis began to look “distorted”. Hoping to relieve the painful swelling, he decided to “trim the penile skin several times” with a pair of scissors. As that operation failed to stop the pain, he then cut off his penis entirely, leaving behind an inch-long stump. The 49-year-old patient, who has not been named, went to hospital in Tehran in April 2021, where he told doctors the object had been stuck for 24 hours. Medics were able to prise the battery out without surgery and discharge the man on the same day — but he was forced to return months later in pain. During his second hospital stint in September, he revealed he had been suffering a burning sensation when urinating and was unable to achieve a full stream of urine. Scans revealed 'severe and progressive' scarring to his urethra, partially blocking the tube that carries urine and semen through the penis. Doctors were unsure what exactly had caused the damage but it may have been due to toxic materials in the battery. They also did not reveal how the device came to be inside his penis, but they suggested a number of possible reasons including sexual pleasure, contraception or a drunken accident. In Denver’s Central Park neighborhood, it’s a family atmosphere. There are a lot of families and kids getting off the bus from school and people out walking the dogs. Isaac Fields takes his dog, Margot, to the dog park almost every day. He moved here about three years ago. “Pretty shocking. I guess I don’t see too many strange things happening around here usually, but you know you never know,” Fields said. “Wow! I would have been so terrified.” Near 23rd Avenue around 11 a.m. Thursday morning, Denver Police said someone broke into a box truck and took a dolly and a box of human remains. Sources told KDVR/KWGN it was a blue and white cardboard box about 20 x 15 x18 inches with “Science Care” written on the sides. Inside the box? Human heads. According to The Daily Star, Chanita Kuedrum shot Boonchuey Mooseeton with a harpoon after waiting up for him to come home. Mooseeton told the Star that his wife ‘twisted the spear’ when it was impaled into his penis. Mooseeton was allegedly so drunk that he didn’t go to a hospital until the next day. It was not immediately clear if the leg had any known connection to the woman's torso found inside a garbage bag in a shopping cart on March 3. To avoid a trial, Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Vicki Melchiorre said, Leverett agreed to a 35-year prison term and will have to serve a minimum of 25 years. Melchiorre called the case “just bizarre and very scary.” The case broke on Sept. 19, 2018, when Leverett, a registered sex offender working as an assistant manager at Fresh Market in Avon, went to the Simsbury police station and confessed, police have said. He then led investigators to a bloody glove hidden behind a wall on his grandparents’ Simsbury property, records show. Tests showed it contained Millan’s DNA. Leverett told police he went to the trail that night looking for “human contact” after attending a sex offenders meeting in Hartford. When he spotted Millan, a 54-year-old executive at Mass Mutual Life Insurance Co., he said he became “mentally aroused,” which then turned to anxiety and anger when he realized, “I can’t have her” and “She was way out of my league.” Leverett said he approached Millan around 8 p.m. in a darkened part of the trail and stabbed her in the chest, according to arrest records. Millan pushed Leverett away, forcing the knife out of her chest as Leverett clutched the weapon. Leverett said he heard Millan say, “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God,” before she went quiet, records show. Melchiorre said she had jogged on the same path where Millan was killed. She said she cannot process how Leverett changed in a moment from thinking Millan was an attractive lady he would like to meet to deciding to plunge a knife into her chest. The investigation began on Wednesday after Sheriff William Snyder said a biologist for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission located what appeared to be an arm inside of an alligator's mouth. FWC officers later located the arm and confirmed it was human remains. A Martin County Fire Rescue dive team went into the canal for any additional remains as a sniper watched over the team, deputies said. A second body part was found Thursday on the bank of a different canal about one mile from the original location. More human body parts were discovered Friday morning in what appeared to be a shallow grave. Detectives suspect that Mills was the victim of a homicide, as his remains present evidence of being dismembered with a sharp instrument. Spider shmider, as we say in Central Texas. he thing that leaves us with cold sweats is the Texas giant red-headed centipede. It's a venomous crawler that can grow up to at least 8 inches (!) long. The head and first two body segments are red, and the other body segments are typically black with traces of green. With its yellow legs, it looks like something radioactive. Any of its 20-odd legs can deliver venom, excreting poison into fresh cuts with its feet. The centipede snacks on lizards and can snatch flying insects out of the air — and its sharp, painful bites can lead to swelling, headaches and nausea for humans — partly because you're thinking, "I can't believe that thing just bit me." The tsunami advisory was made for Fukushima and Miyagi prefectures in eastern Japan following the quake that had a preliminary epicenter depth of 60 kilometers (37 miles), according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. The advisory warns of tsunami heights reaching up to 1 meter above normal tidal levels, with the initial waves reaching shore around midnight local time (11 a.m. ET). Tremors could be felt in Miyagi and the capital Tokyo, with footage showing shaking lights and buildings. The quake knocked out power to more than 2 million households in Tokyo and nearby prefectures, Tokyo Electric Power said on its website.
