Williams is aggressive as hell. I realize that drive looked too easy but those pressure packages are going to start getting home. The offense has to move the ball though.

If I remember right @Skinsinparadiseliked Ethan Wolf (but I may be wrong). A drop followed by a penalty is not a good start.

I don't remember but lol I tend to fall for TEs so maybe?

But thanks for the post, because I forgot the game was on, my son was watching the NBA All Star game so i just switched this game on in my office.

The announcers pearl clutching because of language is fantastic. Shockingly, when you live mic players you will hear some salty language :ols:

Jordan Taamu is better than [REDACTED] by the way.

While I don't recall about Wolf.  I do recall Taamu was one of the late round QB possibilities i liked in that draft.  Clearly that didn't work out.

But yeah he's definitely more talented than Heinicke.    The irony as we know that Heinicke was his backup.

Weird to see my favorite D coordinator of the Dan era and my 2nd least favorite D coordinator in the same game.

Haslett’s halftime interview was kind of sad to see. Guy is getting old. Hopefully we all get to that point, too, so no knock. And he seems in good health so it’s not some awful thing to notice. But he definitely has lost a little bit of his edge.

Ben DiNucci just said that the “analytics say going for three is just as successful as going for one or two.”

What analytics?

I dislike when defensive coordinators leave gaps unmanned. Even against pass, mobile quarterbacks are a threat to break to pocket. When you send a stunt pressure with no one responsible for the C-gap you run a big time risk.

Williams just did that.

Wasn’t Gregg’s last playcall in the NFL some ridiculous, ill-advised Cover Zero or some such.

DiNucci has been trying to throw a pick six all night.

Defenders offense has to get going. Football is a game of rhythm. Let them get into one. Use the running game. We picked a running back first overall… use him.

I don’t think our run game is all that creative, though. D’Erik King (THE U) is a good guy to get some reps on occasion for zone reads, Ta’amu is an athlete that can make things happen. I’d like to see us run more gap scheme stuff.
