China
Seems like he could play anything with strings (obviously guitar, see above). Banjo: Fiddle:
TradeTheBeal!
One of the baddest dudes to ever tune it up. In many ways, he was the original “shredder”. Rest in Peace.

Dan T.
I think, in some sense, his long involvement with Hee Haw somehow obscured what an absolute virtuoso he was, on any stringed instrument, ion many genres. Thanks for those clips above. He was an astounding talent. I learned he's a Virginia native, born south of Farmville, but actually grew up in Washington, DC, a block off South Capitol Street in Southeast, after his dad found work at the Navy Yard and moved when Clark was 11 years old. So rest in peace, native son. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Clark
MarkB452
Oddly enough, this song summarizes the Redskins since Snyder took over:
Jumbo
Roy was special. I respect a lot of performers in different genres even if i don't really dig their music personally---pavarotti, jay z and buck owens for example. I didn't care for buck's brand of country, but i did like roy's performances. I had to sit through hee haw too as a lad, but i also saw him live as a teenager at the AK sate fair. A year later he and Tex Ritter (and his son John Ritter of three's company) helped open up my uncle's stock car race track in anchorage way back. RIP Roy---you were something special.
