I'm gonna go on record and say that guns are the worst invention in the history of humanity. I can't think of anything worse other than perhaps more destructive weapons like the atomic bomb. Last night I was at my son’s club soccer practice, and next to our training facility is a fireworks store. Big sign, no secret, in plain view all the time. Well, about halfway through practice, for whatever reason, they set off a couple mortars. I kid you not, everyone there thought it was a shooting first. I’m reminded of the Occam’s Razor line, “when you hear hoof beats think horse not zebra.” Well, the zebra obviously seems more “reasonable” than fireworks.
