Brazil’s reclusive Bolsonaro has a skin infection, ‘cannot wear pants’

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who has barely been seen in public since failing to win re-election, is holed up in his official residence because of a skin infection on his leg, a newspaper said on Wednesday.

“It is a health issue. He has a leg injury, a skin infection,” Vice President Hamilton Mourao told O Globo on the sidelines of an event at the Planalto presidential palace.

“He cannot wear pants. You want him to come here wearing Bermuda shorts?” Mr Mourao was quoted as saying.

Sounds like something the US should implement to give some of the crazies second thoughts about filing frivolous lawsuits:

Brazil judge fines Bolsonaro allies millions after ‘bad faith’ election challenge

The head of Brazil’s electoral court has rejected an attempt by outgoing president Jair Bolsonaro’s party to overturn the results of October’s run-off election, which he lost.

Alexandre de Moraes, a supreme court justice, also fined the parties in Bolsonaro’s coalition 22.9m reais ($4.3m) for what the court described as bad faith litigation.

Bolsonaro had challenged the Brazilian presidential election he lost last month to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, arguing votes from some machines should be invalidated.

De Moraes had issued a prior ruling indicating Bolsonaro’s party could suffer if it made such a challenge, and demanded extra information from the party, which it declined to provide.

This is what we need. "if you want to file challenges. Provide your information under oath. If you don't. There will be serious fines."

Bolsonaro supporters try to storm police HQ in ‘January 6-style’ rampage

Fanatical supporters of Brazil’s outgoing president, Jair Bolsonaro, have torched cars and buses and tried to storm the federal police headquarters in the country’s capital in what one commentator called a botched attempt to spark a January 6-style turmoil.

The violence erupted on Monday evening after the leftwing politician who defeated Bolsonaro in October’s historic election – former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva – had his victory officially ratified by Brazil’s electoral court.

Several hours later, hardcore Bolsonaristas who want the result overturned rampaged through the heart of Brasília, after a member of their radical group was arrested for allegedly trying to incite violence that would prevent Lula from being sworn in on 1 January.

Reuters said witnesses saw extremists, many wearing the yellow Brazil shirts that symbolise the president’s far-right movement, confronting security forces outside a federal police headquarters. Police used stun grenades and teargas to disperse the crowd.

Makes me wonder if it was organically planned online and intentionally planned for when so many elected officials wouldn't be there.

And, the guys spearheading this whole thing isn't even there...idiots.
