Live feed down for right now. Will have to wait a few.

No doubt FBI and other officials watching this feed. It's a good source of info. They've given away some types of armament, ammo being carried, positions and numbers,(more than 5 or 6 as has been reported). Pretty sure they knew about the .50 cal sniper rifle up in the tower, but the guys on the ground here keep referencing how far it can and can't reach.  Whoever is in that tower is dead sooner or later if they don't give in obviously. My guess is that's the one they're worried about with the press. These folks are tired, agitated, and punchy. That guy in the tower just might decide that the press guy or gal across or down the road looks too much like an agent and then.....

So they're digging up a national wildlife refuge?  Come on.  Stop this nonsense now.

They've been digging it up unfortunately. Local NPR station either had a drone or got one and flew it over the area a few days ago. These people have had a field day driving all over the land there. They really don't care too much about that area of course. Only them there "ecoterrorists",(their words),do.

Feed is down so we have to wait until the tech guy comes back and resets it. Could be a bit.

Interesting that they chose Moses and Jesus as support for the "guys through history who have died for what they believe in" essay.

Hitler or Mussolini might have been more appropriate

So would that guy who was killed in a car accident over the weekend while masturbating to porn on his phone.

A convoy just entered the refuge, vehicles loaded with latrines, snow plow and concrete barricades

I'm choosing to interpret that as a good sign. I'm going to assume that the latrines means the Feds are planning on giving things time.

It's happened. Can't do anything. Gonna hit the roadblock. I'm sobbing

And that's a potential problem. (But one which I assume has been well anticipated.

We got 8 people or so holed up in the refuge.

There's maybe 100 wandering around town with guns, and no clue.

Eventually it's going to occur to them that "Hey! I know where I can find some of them cops. Down at the roadblock!"

The folks forming the perimeter have to be ready to take fire from outside the perimeter, too.

There aren't easy comparisons in history for revolutions that couldn't drum up enough supporters to fill a bus.

What's up with the major news networks barely covering this? This is normally something they'd be running with 24 hours a day. CNN has been all Trump news.

CNN is utterly incompetent when it comes to covering actual breaking news.   Has been for years.   Even Fox is much better.

Anyone watching the stream, camera is facing roughly West towards the main road. To the left,(South),about a 1/2 mile or so is the tower. Behind them and down a bit is the Refuge HQ.

Media. Most national media left after the first week. Local press after that. Mostly OPB. They've done a great job. News conference in Burns at 11 a.m.. That's where a lot of media just showed up at. Rumors have it local Fox still up close.

Some reporters are going to take the risk and stay.  That's how you make the big leap.

Wolf Blitzer took some personal risks in the Kuwait conflict, and has been riding that credential ever since, despite the fact that he is perhaps the most incompetent, useless news hack on TV.

Part of the statement from PPN/Oathkeepers.

It has come to the attention of PPN that many individuals are responding to this news as a ‘Call to Action’. The Pacific Patriots Network is issuing an immediate “STAND BY” Order to all those who are mobilizing to the peaceful city of Burns, Oregon. We will not pursue any action until all of the facts have been pieced together regarding the traffic stop and the arrest of Ammon Bundy. During this time, cooler heads must prevail. We do not wish to inflame the current situation and will engage in open dialogue until all of the facts have been gathered.

Again, we must reiterate the current standing order. No mobilization of any kind is to take place until every piece of speculation and hearsay have been verified or dismissed. We will maintain the high road and continue to communicate with federal officials until a complete time line has been developed. In light of recent events PPN continues to support a peaceful resolution to the occupation of the refuge. As more information is made available to the PPN it will be released accordingly and via the appropriate channels.

Responses to this are mixed. Few are pissed at non action. Few agree and one feels sorry for those still in refuge thinking someone is coming to help.

I'm just complaining about the media because I can normally tune into a major network and watch the world burn during a situation like this. Instead I'm dealing with temperamental live streams from soon to be dead or jailed lunatics, and Twitter.

And cnn had Ben Carson on, that qualifies as trolling.
