Rolling Stone has always been the softest.  Seriously wonder if any of the staff have ever played instruments.  "I can play the triangle for dinner time" hos.  Bill Ward is the truth.

This dude has a cool channel with isolated drum tracks from classic songs.  The bass drum sounds are measured in the top 3rd row, the snare and tomtoms are measured in the middle 3rd row, the cymbals are measured in the bottom 3rd row.
