pjfootballer
This is why I just can't get into basketball. It's hard enough dealing with Football and Hockey calls, but those tend to even out. Everytime I watch an NBA game... I have to turn it off because it's so blatant. Funny that that is one of the reasons I have a hard time watching the NBA myself. I was a huge fan in the 80s. I complain that there are only a handful of teams winning all the titles now and that the league gives their stars too much leeway, but looking back, it was the same way in the 80s. Same teams winning all the time (Lakers, Celtics, Sixers or Pistons) and stars getting all the calls (phantom fouls, continuation), yet for some reason I still liked the era better. I guess I was too young and dumb to realize what the league was about at that time and now that I've seen it stay the same way for 35+ years, it just gives me no reason to watch it. And I like watching basketball. ---------- Post added April-22nd-2013 at 01:08 PM ---------- Marty's Browns. But for some dude called Elway, my favourite all time lefty Kosar could of been King of the hill. Hail. My favorite lefty was a Terrapin. Kosar wasn't a lefty. He was a right-handed sidearm thrower. Warhead36
90s Bills. The NFC East was just too strong back then. Late 90s Jazz obviously. A lot of great players played in the wrong era though and got beat by Jordan.
Gibbs Hog Heaven
Kosar wasn't a lefty. He was a right-handed sidearm thrower. That's right. Lol @ my memory. Not left handed. He had that weired side arm throw. That's what I remember and used to watch in awe at how he got such power and accuracy even under arm. So unconventional. But boy was he fun to watch. Hail. Haha, been there and done that with regards to my memory. Alot of "experts" didn't think Kosar would have a long career throwing that way, but he did. And then his daughter became a porn star. Bibby
I've quickly scanned through this thread and I don't think I saw this mention... The Ovechkin era Washington Capitals (thus far) Subject to change. The early exit by Montreal hurting the most with salt added with Tampa Bay sweep in the playoffs. And I like watching basketball. In the NFL, most teams historically cluster between .510 and .540 and all the older teams have at least have put together a period of suck and most have put together a few solid seasons. In the NBA, the teams like the Lakers see a period of suck as meaning multiple seasons not in the running for a championship while the vast majority of the NBA would just like to see several 500+ seasons in a row.
