garyclarkforhall
Baffled... this is going to prove to be a very poor move... I liked Gano over Rackers as I saw David Akers situation. Cundiff does nothing for me.

Boss_Hogg
So adding Cundiff is going to fix the FG protection how?
E33Green
Playing devil's advocate here: We just signed a guy 2 seasons removed from a Pro Bowl who is used to kicking in outdoor conditions. He will not have to relocate his family and should be able to transition pretty seamlessly into the squad. He is a seasoned vet that will be kicking with a chip on his shoulder this year. The Ravens' loss in the AFC Championship is much more on Lee Evans for his dropped pass than it is on Cundiff. If Evans didn't choke first we aren't even having this discussion. Boss_Hogg
Welcome Billy, now get used to having 5-7 kicks blocked this season.
Hail26
I'm going to trust the coaching staff on this, rather then us ( the fans). They see the players daily. Maybe Gano just doesn't have the " it" factor. Who knows. But gotta trust our coaches.
Skinsfan4life83
Gano sucks, glad he is gone! Now maybe I won't cringe every time we come out to attempt a field goal. Gotta kind of agree with this. I held my breath every time Gano came on to attempt a kick. While I'm not a fan of this move maybe it will grow on me. HooHog
Not loving the move, but not hating it. Feel like we didn't really upgrade or downgrade one way or the other. Going to trust the staff on this one (for now).
WellsHTTR
im thinking his release has got to be related to a behavioral, non-physical type issue...nothing else makes sense This is the only explanation that makes sense right now.
Boss_Hogg
Cindiff's career FG % is 76. wow, I've been on board with Mike so far but this reeks of ****.
Darkstarr
It's a kicker, I have seen most of them make and miss kicks i considered important. So who knows in the long run. It is not like Gano is Adam V. in his prime.
Boss_Hogg
Here's a guy who has kicked only ONE field goal over 50 yards since 2005.

The Ravens' loss in the AFC Championship is much more on Lee Evans for his dropped pass than it is on Cundiff. If Evans didn't choke first we aren't even having this discussion. And in fairness, even the missed FG wasn't on Cundiff. Everyone on the Raven's sideline--or at least everyone having to do with the special teams unit--thought that it was third down and not fourth because of a scoreboard error. The play clock had run down substantially before the Ravens realized that they needed to get their field goal unit out there. Worse, when the Ravens should have just taken the delay of game penalty so Cundiff could get set up, they instead rushed him onto the field and expected him to kick a critical field goal under time pressure. Riggo'sRangers
Head scratcher, BUT there must be a reason(s) the team went in this direction. I will give a pass on this move as the organization has been doing so much better. I can't help but think that perhaps Gano & Rackers had been less than scintillating in practice. Cundiff has done some good things and does hold, and is tied, for some NFL kicking records. Still....quite a surprise. Hmmmmmmm.... rookieskin
Billy is only 32..... Gonna hate this move when Graham turns into a world class FG kicker for some other team. The guy just kicked our longest field-goal in team history last season. I don't like the move, but trust the coach. Danny Smith must have pics of Danny Snyder! Hazel-Ra
Didn't Gano mess up his back last year? Maybe he's not 100% and may never be?
Morpheus'skins
Can anyone speak to Cundiff's kickoffs. This is an undervalued part of the special teams games that does much to support field position. Love/hate Gano as much as you want his directional kickoffs were good (yes, about twice per season he would kick out of bounds...).
justice98
Mark my words, this one move will cost us a game, if not more than one.
skinsmarydu
ugh, not liking this move. Seriously WTF?? I'm not either. And seriously...thought we had it locked down with Gano yesterday. Don't like quickie stuff like this.
MattFancy
I don't hate the move. I liked Gano and thought he just had some bad luck last year with the blocks. But Cundiff isn't bad.

Missouri_Skins_Fan
Stupid move! 100$ says Gano is signed, by the weekend. Akers all over again, imo. Hopefully he sits in free agency, but he's got too good a leg for that to happen. Somebody will snag this young kicker with a leg. Which leads me to my next question? How is Billy Cundiff on Kickoffs? This move makes zero since. And I agree with others... I would rather have had Rackers over Cundiff.
