This thread has been major letdown.

LET'S GO PEOPLE. I NEED SLEEPERS, BOUNCEBACK PLAYERS, LTE ROUND GEMS. WHERE'S ALL THE INSIGHT.

I'll stick by Straus being top 10, that's my input. Also, grab Josh Johnson in top 6-8.

I would like to see people start putting in their insight to potetnial rookie steals, minor leaguers that are likely to get call and make BIG impact, ect...

Should I hold onto SP Jeremy Hellickson (TB) or should I drop him for any of these SPs:

Bud Norris (Hou)

Mike Minor (Atl)

Francisco Liriano (Min)

Scott Baker (Min)

The rest of my rotation is Clayton Kershaw (LAD), David Price (TB), Daniel Hudson (Ari), Ubaldo Jimenez (Cle), & Matt Moore (TB).

Well, had my draft Sunday. 12 team league, H-2-H, pretty standard scoring.

Absolutely stole entire draft. Went heavy on SP's when everyone else went on hitters splurge. 2nd overall pick, day to day line-ups and you start 5 SP's, can hold 6.

Verlander

Hamels

Texiera

Lester

J. Johnson

K. Youk

Yu Darvish

Ortiz

Bonaficio

Crawford

R. Howard

Melky

Howie kendrick

Clay Bucholz

So I had my draft yesterday morning and I think I did ok. Yahoo standard scoring, rotisserie, and I was the 11th pick in a 12 man league.

Here is who I ended up with. The draft went 23 rounds, using the snake order. I have listed my pics by round (and pick # is after their name).

What do you think?

1. Jacoby Ellsbury (11)

2. Jose Reyes (14)

3. Josh Hamilton (35)

4. Matt Cain (38)

5. Brandon Phillips (59)

6. Michael Morse (62)

7. Joe Mauer (83)

8. John Axford (86)

9. J.J. Putz (107)

10. Brian Wilson (110)

11. Chris Carpenter (131)

12. Ryan Madson (134)

13. Tim Hudson (155)

14. Anibal Sanchez (158)

15. Chipper Jones (179)

16. Jhonny Peralta (182)

17. Mark Trumbo (203)

18. Francisco Cordero (206)

19. Aubrey Huff (227)

20. Mark Buerhle (230)

21. Ryan Vogelson (251)

22. Carlos Pena (254)

23. John Mayberry (275)

edit..the only pick in retrospect that I wish I could have a do-over on was picking Huff. Crossing fingers that he has a bounceback year (especially since the offense doesn't need him to produce).

i didnt like your 3 closer picks. it's just uncessary and too high when you couldve gotten good starting pitching at those picks. some of your biggest offensive producers are injury risks.. i think that could be trouble.

I agree except for Pineda. Want to see more of him in ST first. Apparently his velocity is down some from last year.

Not a big deal. He did the samethign towards the end of last year. His velocity rose in the later innings. No need to come out of the gate throwing 95+.

I think Seattle kept him in too long in a handful of games. They were usually close/low scoring games.

Edit: Also, I'm a big fan of Daniel Hudson. Total stud

Yeah I think Hudson will have another solid year. The Diamondbacks could be even better this year, which is scary.

Thank you. I was trying to get as many 5 tool players as possible and also have a balanced pitching staff. Hanley Ramirez dropped to me late in the second round and thought it was a no-brainer to add him. I targeted Asdrubal Cabrera before the draft and thought, with SS being so shallow, that he would make good trade bait for later on this season. I drafted Johan with my 2nd to last pick so he was worth the gamble. Aviles could be a steal...

Mid Season update.

First place in my league. Still stewing over thread pundits talking me out of Stras.

Updated roster:

C-Mauer (via trade fo AJ Pier,Furcal)

1B- Ortiz

2B- Kipnis (FA)

SS- Jeter (Bonifacio on DL)

3B Youk (Longorio Acquired for Texiera. Its a keeper league, think he will be my bat)

OF- Melky

OF- Reddick

OF- Kubel (waiting on Crawford)

U- Altuve

SP Verlander

SP Hamels

SP Lester

SP Vogelsong

SP Beckett

SP J. Johnson (should be Stras)

RP Rodney (FA)

RP Papelbon (via trade Yu Darvish)

Looking for stong finish. Pretty much schooled the site on everyone prior to season. Just reinforcing my status as guru.

I would trade bats for Verlander any day of week. Unless scoring funny in your league.
