elkabong82
So Shannahan had 1-1,000 yard runner without Kubiak....I dont get your point? Kubiak has certainly perfected the ZBS....cant say that for our team right now How about giving Shanahan as much time as it took Kubiak to install and perfect the ZBS? The idea that Shanny somehow forgot how to implement a ZBS or never could is a bit ludicrous.

An entirely new OLine that works perfectly is something you can just waive a stick at and have happen!
issapunk
this thread went from someone not realizing you don't have to suck to get a good free agent, to dropping some serious info from a serious source. ummm all I can say is I hope they do it smartly LL; I think its ugly right now but we might just be building a young core. To be honest this is one of my favorite years as a redskins fan because its shown a true commitment to a long term rebuild which in today's NFL is so important. I don't think you can just buy a win now franchise anymore, the margin of difference is so small and the young dudes are just faster and stronger. I agree completely. It might be an ugly season and I don't have a lot to root for, but at least I see the light at the end of the tunnel for the first time in years. The rebuild is under full way and I am stoked on that. Also, don't want to sound stupid but restricted free agents means they have to be acquired with a draft pick? Mr. Nostril
Except that the ability to pick up free agents has nothing to do with poor performance in the previous season. So, this really makes no sense.

Dan T.
Crapping our pants for Lance Poop joke makes me laugh. And BTW, building through the draft doesn't necessarily mean you make ZERO free agent moves. A smart mix of a strong draft with key free agent pickups sprinkled in is okay, people. We're like a fan base that's been so battered by Vinny Cerrato in the past that now we flinch in terror at any mention signing a free agent. gchwood
Free agents come here to get paid not win championships. Did you know that we are getting close to the point that there will be players in the league that were not born when we last made it to the super bowl. So they have no knowledge of the Redskins even having a winning tradition and only know of the Skins as losers.
