Hail. They usually are escorted, but some fans don't care. The police, I figure, just try to get the team buses out as quickly as possible to aviod any serious confrontation. While i will defend Philly fans as a whole, the idiot brigade is so bad that I see why we have the rep. Things I have personally witnessed over the years include: --Dallas fan having his jersey ripped off and burned (700 lv Vet) --Eagle fan gives Dallas fan the finger, Dallas fan throws beer in Eagle fans' face, Dallas fan gets kicked down a half level of concrete steps by three people --Five people peeing on a car with a Redskins sticker --Car with Giants flags gets flags ripped off and side mirrors smashed (I and another person called the police on this one--these idiots were drunk/stoned and a menace to anyone around them) In the NFCE, I have been to away games in Washington, New York, and Dallas. If they aren't the most disgusting fanbase in worldwide sports, I don't know who is. Well, the Eagle fan base is horrid, true, but I don't know if they have anything on soccer hooligans. Riots have broken out at soccer matches. Stadiums/neighborhoods burned. I think folks have been killed in the chaos after some soccer matches. Antics like that doesn't mean that you have the most passionate fans, it means that you have the most classless fans in all of sports possibly and I find myself feeling so fortunate that I wasn't born in such an area and raised a DC sports fan. I take offense to that statement, not only for me, but the philly fans that live close to me. Takes about 3hrs to get to philly from here, there are a ton of Eagles fans here, none of which act like the Philadelphia community does. They think its classless. and I for one think your classless for generalizing a group of individuals based on a small portion from within your statement group.
