My grandfather's old firefighter crew(he was a chief most of his years.) brought the fire truck to the funeral home to park it for the prayer night and than drove it to the church the next day and parked it by the grave. Every cop on the road stopped to get out of their cars and went into salute while blocking the road. US Navy sailors came to the funeral to present a flag to his wife(he fought in WWII and was recently put on the WWII Memorial). Bagpipes were also there to play Amazing Grace. I think about literally every car pulled off when they saw the firetruck leading the parade of cars. I think the entire funeral ceremony was just as he would have wanted it.
