This is the best News I heard all year, CBS will be showing all of the NCAA March Madness First Round games on CBS, TBS, CBS College Sports, and True TV:cool:

So no more paying Direct TV 50.00 for there March Madness Package.

...:secret: There aren't 65 first round games. First off, there are now 68 teams in the tourney. But the first two games are considered play-in games, more or less. There are only 64 actual first round games.;)

Edit: Nevermind. On the NCAA's website they are listing those first couple of play-in games as the first round. Then the Thur/Sat, Fri/Sat games are actually the second and third rounds.

We were both wrong. :)

Btw, they should do away with those stupid play-in games. I don't really see the point in those games. I guess when they had an odd number of teams they had to have one. But now that there are 68 teams, what's the point?

I was in Vegas once for the first round. Great sportsbook experience.

Yeah, I can imagine.

This is good news because CBS sucked last year at switching to games that mattered. I was in a hotel with no computer during the Sweet 16. There was a game where KU blew out Cornell while there was another game with K-State and Xavier that was probably the best game of the tourney and went to 2OT. CBS refused to switch to the good game even though KU was up by like 20 and the arena was empty. There are two games to choose from and you're gonna make us watch the one that people who payed to be there for aren't even interested in? I understand the first round has a million games and its hard to please everyone, but how do you **** up the Sweet 16 when there are two games going on and one of them sucks?

My two favorite days of the year without question really. I love to settle down in front of my television with a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza, a gallon of water, and an eighth of the best marijuana the earth has to offer. Then proceed to watch college basketball until my eyes fall out.

I don't smoke anymore though. :(

Kudos to CBS. March Madness should be available to everyone. Sort of like health insurance.
