MadMonkey
Whoa, that's a surprising cut until you look at the cap hit $5.8 mil, wouldn't be smart to try and sign him we still need to get the Champ situation resolved before trying to sign a high priced vet. SkinsNorth
If we could lower his salary it may be worth it, the guy is a proven intimidator at the safety spot, but I wonder with no proven backup at S who will the pats start with Harrison?? @DCGoldPants
I think he should go to Miami to play the Pats twice a year.
Oldskool
at this late stage in the preseason, he's probably going to sign a 1 year contract with a team. Next year he'll look to get paid again.
aREDSKIN
This is a no brainer. APB for Vinny, APB for Vinny.
gridironmike
With a full season ahead of him, I'd take a one year gamble. We may need secondary help if we get no pressure on opposing QBs. Would Parcells be interested in him?

@DCGoldPants
No, they have Woodson and Williams. Look, if he signs for cheap for a year to play in front of Iffy and to fully move Terrell to CB. Then I wouldn't be upset. However, I liked our young Safeties. godeatgod
No Brainer. Cut Franz and sign Lawyer.
Mad Mike
If we could get him for the right price, I would do it in a heart beat. We would have maybe the best secondary in the NFL. I'm not getting my hopes up though. Doesn't sound like he would come cheap and his kind of money is not in the budget. I can only pray that Dallas does not scoop him up but to tell the truth, I have a very bad feeling about this. :gus:
godeatgod
Actually, we are among a handful of team that can pay him at this late stage. We have 5 mils in cap money and Champ is not going to sign this year.NO BRAINER.
Posse81
Does he play strong safety? If so, then definetly yes. And I don't think the coaching staff is 100% sold on Iffy, so I think there is a decent chance we could grab him. Could be this year's Gardener. jbooma
Do we have to wait to see if he clears waivers?? Or is he a free agent now?

Buddha
He better be in Redskins Park right now with Vinny kissing his back end and Snyder handing him a briefcase full o' cash. This is a NO-FREAKIN-BRAINER.
TD_washingtonredskins
i want us to pass on a big name for once...let's see how our own home-grown talent does with iffy!
NavyDave
Wish it would ve happened last week. Champ with his getting paid what he is worth crap is getting on my nerves now everytime I hear him on WTEM. He is one of those guys that I wish played back in the 80's where there was no free agency or ridiculous salaries. 14.7 million in signing bonus isnt enough? Iffy is promising but Milloy would be a HUGE addition to an area where we have struggled in recent years. It also seems like Iffy won the competiton by default. Maybe its just a one-year thing and Milloy gets a big pay next year. Meanwhile, Iffy had another year and watch and learn.
Funkyalligator
This would be a great signing for us. He is under 30 and one of the best in the game and we can pay him what he wants probably and he will be working with two of the best corners in the NFL. BD
Oh dude, how sweet would a Bailey - Smoot - Bowen - Milloy secondary be? Ohalete is solid, but Milloy is still a Pro-Bowl caliber player.
