Going Commando Posted October 31, 2013 Share Posted October 31, 2013 Defense has been playing like ass. Drummond/Monroe on Booker/Harrington is a total mismatch. Gonna need to play Gortat and Nene together. Beal is doing too much standing around too. Wall's picked it up after a really poor start. Decision making has still been a little off though. Seraphin kills me, gets a good feed inside from Wall, puts it on the floor instead of going up strong and immediately gets stripped. He's out of rhythm, not really finding places to go with the ball, and doing some camping out behind the 3 point line. The defense has also got to get better. We haven't been boxing Drummond out and we've been letting Josh Smith drive and kick... that shouldn't be happening. The guards have got to play better. So Beal closes out super hard on Billups who is five feet behind the 3 pt line which leads to easy interior penetration. WTF are they doing? Defense should be better than it has. Gortat might take a while to adjust. Harrington/Gortat frontcourt is getting us killed tonight. There is no excuse for letting him get all of the way to the rim on that final play of the half... I love it, they're taking it inside now and putting pressure on those good bigs. Harrington has been ****ing dreadful on defense. He's screening his own teammates.
