The one downside is that having to play overtime on the front end of a road back to back isn't helpful. They have another game essentially on the same day that this one ended.

I'd be almost willing to settle with winning 3 of 4. Wall and the starters desperately need some time off.

Then get back after it in Minn.

My temptation is to be frustrated that we're having to claw for wins over weak teams recently but then I remember that Boston lost to one of those same teams tonight, and to another a few nights ago. Lo and behold, those narrow wins over weak western teams are why we're now the #2 seed, and breathing down Cleveland's neck.

Few teams just show up and dominate on the road in the NBA.  Only the top of the western conference is great on the road.

The Wizards that couldn't win on the road early this season are 14-15 now.  The Cavs are 16-14.

All road wins are beautiful.

It's very hard to win on the road in the NBA. Even harder on these 4 in 5 road trips.

A two point win is as good as a 20 point win in the end.  I'll take them any way they'll come.

Tonight's game is the Greek God of schedule losses.  If we win, we're playing with house money.  But it's going to be real difficult to win if we don't play better defense.

One more thing, March marks the beginnings of silly season in the NBA.  A lot of times the teams that are "tanking" actually start stealing games off good teams because they put their young players in and they start playing hard against exhausted line ups.  They play lose and without any pressure.  And the good teams are trying to eke out wins and rest their guys as much as they can and are basically holding out for the playoffs.

Back when we sucked, we were always good for like a 6 win run during the final stretch which ruined our lottery position.

Point being, we can't take these end of season wins against teams way under .500 for granted.  Probably going to be a battle in almost every single game from here on out.

Moving into the two seed (even if it's only for a day) has got me rethinking the possibilities for the season.  The one seed is legitimately within our reach.  LeBron's teams have an odd tendency of ending up in the two seed during the regular season.

I think we need to push as hard as we can for the one seed.  We control our own fate if we get it.  We won't face Cleveland in the second round.  Home court all of the way.  We'd have a real shot at the Finals.
