RedskinWill
I wish this was posted in the other section. I don't really care about him. I concur, he's overrated and I hope they get their ass kicked by the colts.
Laxpunk2006
I'm happy with Shanahan but I was/am a big Gg fan and wish we had retained him as HC. I'm happy for him as well as the rest of the Saints.
redskns21
I'm happy for him, though his D played like crap today to be perfectly honest. If the Vikings didn't crisco their gear it wouldn't have been close. At least it isn't the Favre show for the next 2 weeks. I'm one who roots for and loves the NFC so I am behind the Saints all the way, plus it's hard not to root for that town/team.
RBClintonPortis
And Mark Brunell, Chase Daniel, and Pierson Prioleau! I didn't want the NNT tag, but I vaguely played with a joke thread - something like a "Brunell plays in the Superbowl before Campbell, Brennan, Sanchez, and Cutler." Redzone Offense
Manning is going to light up Williams' defense. Old man Favre threw over 300 yds. Peyton can't wait.
ixcuincle
Good for him. He's done a fine job
pilsburypgh
Well good for him, considering the fact their offense is the only reason why they have been so successful. Not GW's D!
Mania
And Mark Brunell, Chase Daniel, and Pierson Prioleau! Chase Daniel was cut, mid season. Unless he was pict up again, then he is no longer on the Saints.

paintrain
Your thoughts?? Do you wish Snyder had retained him as our next head coach or are you happy with Shanahan? Yeah, his defense did a wonderful job of keeping the Vikings to just under 500 yards and 28 points. He's a friggin genius.
Laxpunk2006
Well good for him, considering the fact their offense is the only reason why they have been so successful. Not GW's D! Being #2 in the league in forced turnovers clearly had nothing to do with the team's success or the offense's ability to score.
bih
if it wasnt for turnovers commited by vikings they would have been out of the game long time ago. sometimes its a bit of luck. but I didnt see much of great D tonite, 40 year old man was kicking them around, yes he made some mistakes too! zCommander
Being #2 in the league in forced turnovers clearly had nothing to do with the team's success or the offense's ability to score. Yes. But you still have to have the offense that can take advantage of a turnover.
GIBBS LIVES
if it wasnt for turnovers commited by vikings they would have been out of the game long time ago. sometimes its a bit of luck. but I didnt see much of great D tonite, 40 year old man was kicking them around, yes he made some mistakes too! Saints defense led the league in turnovers. They did it again tonight. You can't deny that Williams defense is the reason they won against the Vikings. That defense created those turnovers. And Farve was his usual " I throw int's in big games and kill my team" self.

Laxpunk2006
Yes. But you still have to have the offense that can take advantage of a turnover. Obviously the team's strength is their offense but to say their defense has played no role and thus "the second g's for genius" didn't help is laughable. Take away the turnovers and NO is a good team. Add that playmaking defense Williams has put together and you have a SB contender.
DieselPwr44
His D took the ball away and smacked old man Favre around so much that it affected Favre's play. Not bad IMO.

rk3025
Coach Payton gave Williams partof his salary to have him come to New Orleans and it paid off for him! I'm happy with Shanahan but I was/am a big Gg fan and wish we had retained him as HC. I'm happy for him as well as the rest of the Saints.
