SkinsNumberOne
I like both moves. I want to hear the terms on Ganther, but the Jones terms are right. I mean, it's not unexpected to hire a "fix" tackle on a one-year deal, but I was worried they'd screw it up and give him a longer term deal. I generally like the move to get Ganther, but I want to hear the terms on that one too.
prufRock
Desperate moves by a man desperate to save his job. Yup.

SkinsNumberOne
:doh:Vinny's swan song is turning into an ugly duckling. Why? He's supposed to try to make moves to help the team regardless. As long as they don't impact our long-term prospects, he can do things like this, in my opinion.
martin49
Because Vinny Cerrato is a headless chicken running around right now. He knows his job is on the line, and he's trying to do everything possible to save himself. Unfortunately I think our team had a better chance of bouncing back before this whole debacle: hiring a bingo caller and cutting the balls off of our Head Coach. some people get lucky at bingo. and its relaxing. However a balless coach. Ouch. No wonder Zorn looks like he's in pain.
McD5
Stephon Heyer must really suck Heyer? Try our entire offensive line. Imagine Big Al going against Rabach.:hysterical: One of the stupidest things I have ever, ever, ever seen on this site, was the belief that even when healthy, our o-line was good. Newsflash: Even when healthy, they still were below average. Now, they are simply the worst in the entire league.
martin49
Hey, I wonder if Sherm will jump up and down and yell BINGO! if we score a TD monday! Probably better than hip hip hooray.
Braxford
Good pick up with Jones, yeah he is not great but hopefully he is better than Heyer.... I hate that Mason is cut again but he does not know how to block and you have to be able to pickup the blitz at RB. 21forlyfe
Levi worked out for the Lions they passed on him he has alot of knee issuses ...i hope it works out for us..Mason or AA should still be on this team...WTF WYNN got resigned?

addicted
Why did we pick up a tackel that the Bungles, Titans, and Lions all thought was garbage? More fantasy football crap or what?

skeenzfan
so you cut mason and aldridge without ever giving them any playing time. We didn't even try alridge on punt/kick returns. Why did we sign him in the first place?
twenty-eight
Really?................ Without Samuels & Thomas.....and with MW at RT, Heyer at LT, Montgomery at RG......Yes, really.
Duckus
Why did we pick up a tackel that the Bungles, Titans, and Lions all thought was garbage? More fantasy football crap or what? If we cut our entire current starting o-line, my guess is only 1 (maybe 2) would be picked up by another team. We have the worst o-line in the NFL. Any help is worth a shot. What is the downside? nightbird
The worst part is this broken-down dude that no one else wanted instantly becomes the best tackle on our roster.

nightbird
After your comment, your sig seems completely appropriate. You're right, I should be doing more drinking to take the pain away from being a devoted fan of this once mighty franchise that is now a laughingstock. Are you telling me that Stephon Heyer, Mike Wiliams and D'Anthony Batiste are so obviously better than . . . who'd we sign -- oh right . . . broken down Levi Jones? Hooper
Why did we pick up a tackel that the Bungles, Titans, and Lions all thought was garbage? More fantasy football crap or what? We have the worst o-line in the NFL. Any help is worth a shot. What is the downside? I'm not sure if we do. KC's is really bad. Cassel has been getting crushed in every game. He was under more heat than JC and TC for much of the game. But it's definitely top three in suckiness.

Drastik
Finally, Aldridge and Mason were wasted roster spots. They were good guys, but they werent NFL players. I have no clue who Ganther is, but hopefully he's a change of pace back.
Birdlives
They should grab Runyan while they're at it. Put Heyer and Williams on the bench where they belong.
