stickyshooZ
Surprised they didn't put Brady as athlete of the decade. That's fine, though, cause Peyton rocks.
darklight1216
I was not surprised by that at all. It seems like most people prefer Manning to Brady (myself excluded).

88Comrade2000
The coach, team, and game are tough to match. The game, I don't think so. That game was boring and it was only interesting because of the 2 final drives and the fact the Pats were coming in 18-0. Heck, last years Steelers- Cards game was better. The 3 Superbowls the Pats won were better.
Ghost of
Agreed Rdskns2000, The Panthers-Patriots game was pretty good too. I don't think their game listed was the game of the decade, I'm not totally sure any SB should be game of the decade, there have to be some good, significant matchups at other points in playoff or even regular season, right? Well, I also disagree with Walter Jones at LT. He DID have some really good years but has been declining (a lot of these guys listed have) and I'd argue Chris Samuels has been playing at a more consistently high level. Their QB is wrong too. Brady not only won three SBs but made the big plays to win the big games ON OFFENSE in his time in New England. How does a guy win three SBs, be acknowledged as a clutch player (unlike Manning who often whimpered in the playoffs) and give Manning the awards? Its hard to argue with the pats being the team, that was a great Super bowl with the Giants. I disagree on TE being Tony Gonzalez though, I think there are other better choices out there. But otherwise I'd agree

BootzJackson
Tony Gonzalez is a clear favorite for TE choice, he consistently performed even after Vermeil left, can't think of a better choice, IMO.
Forehead
I was going to argue for the Rams-Titans Super Bowl, the tackle at the 1-yard line, but I guess that was the 1999 season.

SkinsFTW
Pretty mediocre decade. The Pats were the best team but they won 3 Super Bowls by 9 points total. Then 5 years later we find out they cheated the whole time. Knowing whats coming has to be worth 3 points or way more. And the tuck rule game, weaksauce. Shutting down the Rams offense was unbelievable, but I expected it to happen for some reason too. Now I believe the reason, just like in SB 25 when the Giants did it to Buffalo, could have been their spying. Remember, Parcells didn't have anything to say when it came out about the Pats. He was like, well you do what you have to do to win.
