holmester Posted September 25, 2009 Share Posted September 25, 2009 If Portis can't go I would let Mason handle most of the 1st and 2nd downs while letting Aldridge and Betts split 3rd down carries. I wouldn't even activate Rock. Aldridge should get more carries then Betts in my opinion if he knows the offense well enough. I would split the carries at a 3-2-1 ratio as stated above. Against a defense like this I think this game could be used as a last chance audition for Aldridge. It could be a great confidence boost for him and give us an idea of what hes capable of. This is a must win game, and Portis is a gamer. I think this is just another exaggerated "injury" from Zorn like he did last year with Portis and his "serious" knee injury. This is the game Zorn likes to play with Portis's status, but I don't know why because everyone knows he's going to play and get the workload of carries.
