HailGreen28
This is his last contract year, isn't it? If he keeps failing, like in our last game, it means we should have traded him a couple years ago, when Collins showed him up.
Charlied72
Yes. If he's struggling threw out the season i wouldn't expect him to be on the roster at the end of the year.
veteranskinsfan
We could offer his a backup spot on the roster but he probably would not take it.

ntotoro
Franchise Simple Jason and pay him an average of the top-five at his position... ? You have got to be joking. We would have no bargaining chip because every team would know we wanted to get rid of him.
RIPSean
These threads lately make me want to scream. TAG Jason Campbell if he fails? Make him one of the highest paid at the highest paid position? Because he fails? MABIE you should keep this idea in your head. Dan Snyder has never done anything half as stupid as that. Laxpunk2006
As a QB needy team if he fails so miserably that we let him go, how on earth could we move him for a second or third pick with a franchise tender contract?

skinfan133
anyone who would trade a second round pick for Campbell (which is really what he was worth to begin with during the draft considering his unobserved skill set) is a fracken idiot. If we traded him, we'd be lucky to get a 5th rounder, probably a 6th rounder. When we do release him at the end of this year, he'll be lucky to be signed as a backup QB
B.Rob
He should get the rest of the season to prove himself but not a game more. I'm all for trading up for Colt McCoy if he fails.

Adam291
If JC clearly fails, then yes, I don't see what the point is in extending him. In which case, we trade up in the draft for whatever QB looks good at that point, and whatever QB will work in whatever offense we end up with, whether it's still Zorn or another OC or HC. Realistically, though, I think it's more likely JC will have a muddled kind of season, not elite, but not too terrible, and the debate will rage on. I think Snyder will only extend him if he is clearly a franchise QB for 5-10 years down the road. I've generally been supportive of JC, but I'm not sure he can do that. CooleyRox
I'm not a JC hater by any stretch but I think he's had plenty of opportunites to prove himself and my patience with him is just about worn out. It's time for him to step it up or move on...NOW.

Like Colt McCoy would do anything behind our offensive line, even a year older? No way. If we fail, blow the whole thing up. Build a team like winners do--linemen. Almost all linemen in the next draft. Then we won't get pushed around like little girls on both sides of the ball. We will be able to compete physically with anyone. ST is my boy
If he is to fail and not extended....our QB situation is going to be uggggggggglllly. How many more seasons is Collins going to play? Colt....mehhhh How can we draft a quarterback when we need to start rebuilding the offensive line fairly badly? Bahhh who am I kidding the lines will be ignored....
SirClintonPortis
I believe he will possibly be a RFA due to whatever happens to the CBA. That means that if teams are interested, there will be compensation.
