Skins have signed WR Jaison Williams (Oregon)

6'4", 237

40 time: 4.64

Strengths:

Good athleticism...Excellent height and outstanding bulk with a large frame...Has very long arms...Decent leaping ability...Nice ball skills and body control...Runs with some power...Versatile...Still has upside.

Weaknesses:

Lacks great timed speed and quickness...Drops too many balls...Does not run great routes...Won't get much separation...Isn't elusive...Not very tough or physical...Just an average blocker...Inconsistent motor.

Notes:

Was a three-year starter for the Ducks...Owns a number of school weight room records...'Tweener who could also project to H-Back or Tight End at the next level...Possesses some intriguing physical tools and may be worth taking a late round flyer on as a developmental guy.

More on Jaison Williams:

Overview

One of the most maddeningly underachieving players in the country, Williams showed flashes of brilliance as a playmaker during his honorable mention All-Pac-10 sophomore and junior seasons, averaging 62 catches for 914 yards and seven touchdowns. However, his inconsistent hands and effort continued during his senior year and his production suffered (36-473-4). His size is intriguing and some team will draft him or sign him immediately afterwards thinking they can be the ones to help him fulfill that potential. Had an arm span of 33 3/4 inches and a hand span of 9 3/4 inches at the combine.

Positives: Prototypical height, good build and long arms for the position. Has a major size advantage over most corners. Adequate initial speed off the snap and foot quickness on short routes. Sells the outside route, swims past his corner to come inside. Willing to go over the middle. Can stiff arm or make a quick move after short catches, although he's not overly elusive.

Negatives: Underachiever. Poor hands. Lacks concentration on easy throws, often fighting the ball into his hands or body-catching. Questionable straight-line speed. Plays with little strength despite his size. Should be a red zone and jump ball threat but is neither. Slow to get himself open when QB is in trouble. Does not have the attitude or effort to be an effective blocker in space. Stands around instead of hitting someone, hesitates to hit targets and does not sustain.

I play QB, I will wear number 5. That's right ladies and gentlemen, say goodbye to Colt Brennan.

That's right ladies and gentlemen. The days of entitlement are over. No number is sacred now. I'll bet you my Colt Brennan

# 17 is on the table.

# 15 could be open soon.

# 5 would probably like # 15, as it was his college number.

# 5 coming in would like # 5 for sure. Brennan will gladly give it up.

4.4 and tall and not drafted. Whose Cheerios did he urinate in?

Lanky, has issues escaping from tacklers and contact. Played in the WAC in a wide open system in Nevada. Quite thin for his height and not strong.

All these things made him a late 2nd day pick.
