NCAA Basketball Pre Tourney Talk

I'm a huge ACC fan, but this year the Big East has better teams at the top. UConn, Pitt, Louisville, Marquette could easily match up against UNC, Duke, Wake, and Clemson. I would take Marquette and Louisville over Wake and Clemson. The other 2 would be a toss up. I would give the edge to Pitt over Duke because of Blair. And UNC vs. UConn is what I'm hoping for in the Nat'l Championship because I believe those are the 2 best teams in the country.

I wouldn't disagree that the top of the Big East is better than the top of the ACC, but overall....considering all teams....I think the ACC is better

I would def say its close. The Big East is better at the top, and deeper though.

I mean jeez, people are saying Gtown is good, and they are 6-10 in the league and in 11th place of 16. :)

DePaul would lose to GT though. :silly:

G'town isn't very good in my opinion. I think the middle teams of the ACC: Virginia Tech, MD, BC are better than the middle teams of the Big EAst: WVU, ND, G'town

I think the ACC and the Big East will have the same number of teams in the tourniment (that is just my opinion) that is a better percentage for the ACC

I think the ACC will get 7 and the Big East will get 8.

ACC: UNC, Duke, Wake, Clemson, FSU, BC, and maybe Maryland

Big East: UConn, Pitt, Louisville, Marquette, Villanova, WVU, Providence, and Syracuse.

I don't think VT and Miami have done enough to get in. A good tournament run by either could change things though.

That is where we disagree. Gtown isnt a middle team in the Big East, they are closer to the bottom.

I see VT in before I see MD in. But both could possibly get in. I don't think Providence gets in

I don't think G'town is very good...but I have a hard time putting them at the bottom.

I also think RPI are a crock of ****. RPI might be worst than the BCS

VT while capable of making a good run but could easily self-implode in the tournament...

i remember seeing that vasaillo kid flipping out on the coach a few months ago and being a huge dick in the middle of a close game cuz he wasnt getting his way or something

The better teams in Big East get fat on the bottom feeders of the conference.

Depaul, Rutgers, South Florida, St. Johns, and Seton Hall. All terrible.

Other than Georgia Tech and Virginia, the entire ACC can give you game night in and night out.

nothing is worse than the BCS....nothing

I don't like the BCS....but it is better than college football used to be.....where #1 might be playing #4 and #2 might be playing #3 in the bowl games. Then you have to factor in who beat who by more points and all that noise.

This is after you spent an entire week in a thread saying how bad Maryland is. :rotflmao:
