Skinsfan1311
i've never had an octoberfest or too many seasonal beers i like. i prefer a good, hoppy beer. clipper citys heavy seas 'loose cannon' ale is the best beer i have ever had. You, Sir, have excellent taste. I'm not big on Ocoberfest beers either. Too malty. I can only drink one, or two, at a sitting. The only "problem" with Loose Cannon is that it's definitely not a session beer, with an ABV of 7.25% I used to keep it on tap, but it got me hammered after a few pints! Reic
I'm getting the Leinenkugle Octoberfest when it comes out, their Summer Shandy is pretty good.

ljs
Hey, I found this at our store last night and tried it. Yummy. Not an overbearring pumpkin taste.
TD_washingtonredskins
I love it...all types of autumn brews actually. This the best time of year for beer.
JeffSchmeff
I've tried the Blue Moon pumpkin ale. It is ok - I really didn't get that much pumpkin from it. I don't think I'd buy it again, but I would try other brands of pumpkin ale.

Mr. S
I'm getting the Leinenkugle Octoberfest when it comes out, their Summer Shandy is pretty good. I had it the other day, I was kinda disappointed. It had more of an earthy taste, which I liked. I was surprised it was a lager style when it did have some kick to it. Overall though, the taste was lacking, which is odd since their Summer Shandy and Sunset Wheat are pretty good. Their Octoberfest did not get good reviews on ratebeer either. I went and bought some of the Autumn/Octoberfests the other day. Spaten, Sam Adams, and the ones mentioned earlier. I still stand by Dogfish Head's Punkin Ale, that stuff is just too good. NoleSkin21
Blue Moon has a new seasonal beer out. Anyone try it? Yes, I like it alot better than Jack's. Its not as bitter. I love going to Sweet Water's in NOVA and getting their pumpkin spice beer, it has nutmeg floating in it! Its great!

dieselfan44
I like that seasonal stuff as well....but you gotta drink it in moderation. I like one or two but drinking it to get hammered doesn't work to well.
