Longbomb
People want to talk about Campbell haters...Todd Collins did more for this team this year than Campbell could have mustered. One more year of subpar performance from that young man and he's gone. The new coach is inheriting him and if it's not GW it will be very strained with JC on a short leash. Hooper
Todd Collins saved Joe Gibb's butt and let him go out on a high note. We should all be thankful for that and wish him well.
isle-hawg
Todd is gone, he will likely have best sucess to partner with AL.
bulldog
of course it did take 13 years for an NFL team to get 4 wins out of Todd Collins hopefully when all is said and done Campbell will deliver more than that  just remember that at the same phase of development, 20 starts, Eli Manning was being called a potential bust, now he is in the Super Bowl
Boss_Hogg
Yeah he is done, he will not want to learn a whole new system at the age of 37. Watch Al Saunders go to another team and have great results, seams to always happen.

wheeler
i hope TC goes where Al goes so people on this board can stop acting like TC is the second coming of Sonny Jurgensenhey now , my favorite redskin qb of all time is sonny jurgensen . but i won't ever forget the 4 game winning streak at the end of last season . collins looked really good filling in , even if he doesn't rank in my top 10 favorite redskin qb's .:point2sky
bulldog
Jay Schroeder looked better than Collins and for an entire season here in DC (1986), but in the end he was not the long-term answer. Collins is not even the short-term answer
Fetus
I think someone else will be wearing #15 in Washington next season. Just a hunch yes and he may be a Sweet Sweet SWEED WR!
thinker
Of course that means we don't have a single viable backup qb at this point (assuming Brunell goes).
redman
Collins? Hell no, he's not gone! He's our new head coach!
bulldog
well, the Patriots have Matt Cassel and the Giants have Jared Lorenzen right now, so I would not let that interrupt your sleep tonight backup quarterbacks can be found in the offseason. Hooper
I just don't get why so many people love to bash Collins. I want JC to start and kick butt too, but let's not forget what Collins did for this team. In my opinion, he saved Joe Gibbs legacy by letting him go out on a high note. wheeler
Can you honestly say with a straight face that you'd be proud to wear a Todd Collins burgundy and gold jersey?why not :whoknows: , i've worn a heath shuler jersey before, and he never had a 4 game winning streak . you get me a 3xlg todd collins jersey and i'll wear it proud (once in a while along with my other 30 redskin jerseys ). redman
well, I didn't say they were GREAT backup quarterbacks  I actually think Lorenzen should be starting somewhere for someone, and Cassel too has gotten good reviews, but we have no way of knowing with him what that means. SKINS FAN #56
Why? He might be the last Skins QB to start a playoff game in the next 15 years the way the front office is going. I dont disagree with you at all :applause:

SoCalSkins
Jay Schroeder looked better than Collins and for an entire season here in DC (1986), but in the end he was not the long-term answer. Collins is not even the short-term answer What are you talking about? Jay Schroeder was amazing as a Redskins QB. He took over a 5-5 team when Theisman got hurt and led us on a 5-1 run. He made the Pro Bowl the next year and took us to the NFC championship beating the defending SB champion bears in Chicago in the playoffs. Without Jay in 1987 we would not have made the playoffs. He started 10 games in the strike shortened year. T he next off season, we trade him for Jim Lachey. Schroeders starting record as a Skins QB was amongst the highest winning percentages ever for a Skins QB and we ended up getting a HOF level tackle for him. method man
Collins is a perfect fit for Zorn's WCO. Very intelligent, can get rid of the ball quickly, and weak-armed.
Skins2010
When I saw people wearing his jersey I thought they had them made. I guess these would be on the $5.oo rack with Archuletta next year if he is gone.
