Teacher Kelsey Peterson, shown in 2006, is charged with kidnapping and child abuse. An illegal immigrant while residing in the United States, 13-year-old Fernando Rodriguez may not be able to return to the rural Nebraska town where he was an eighth-grader. Kelsey Peterson, 25, and Rodriguez were taken into custody without incident after the boy's relatives told police he had called home asking for money, leading investigators to a shopping mall in the border city of Mexicali on Friday. I'm anxious to see it tested with a male teacher and female student. Afterall, a male suspect is supposed to be guaranteed equal protection under the law. Teacher accused of lesbian student affair November 05, 2007 A PERTH teacher exploited a vulnerable student when she began a sexual relationship with the 16-year-old girl, a court has been told. Elizabeth Anne Crothers, 50, went on trial today in Perth District Court charged with 10 counts of indecent dealing and 13 counts of sexual penetration of the student in the late 1990s. Ms Crothers has pleaded not guilty. In his opening address, prosecutor Tony Elliott said Ms Crothers had admitted to police she had had sex with the girl but denied the affair began when the teenager was a student in her class. "She denied that anything occurred while she and the girl were at the school," Mr Elliott said. He said Crothers pursued the girl, firstly by offering counselling and consoling the teenager after she claimed to have been beaten. "Then by increasing the frequency of touching," Mr Elliott said.
