GibbsFactor
fox sports, cbs sports, espn & etc. power ratings are crap. if you want accurate power ratings get them from a handicappers web site. Agreed, any good suggestions? I like the FootballOutsiders but they aren't too viable until October.
Califan007 The Constipated
So let me get this straight. We lose a spot after beating the Dolphins. The Dolphins lose to us but move up a spot. Ok, got it. The way I figure it, after we win the Super Bowl we'll be ranked 32nd...

DirtyGunz8
p.s. if you do like rankings, ESPN's power ranking is a lot better. I still don't know what the Pat's are doing at the top.
jrfriedm
 The Jets get destroyed, and they move up a spot to #12. Need I say anything more? This is a joke.

Martini
This fool seems to think that the Redskins and Eagles will play on Sunday.... The Titans jump some 12 spots? This is not worth reading. :pooh:

CM916
Teams that lose should automatically be below teams that win after week 1. If they must insist that we are the worst of the winners despite several similar close games, we should be ranked 16th. Ive got our defense on Fox Fantasy and I took notice that we are projected to give up 31 points, 1.5 sacks, and get one turnover tops for 2.8 points despite posting a much higher score last week. CM916
I also like how the Lions scored 36 points and beat the Raiders but they lose two spots while the Raiders gain three.

Shadowplay
Week 1 doesn't really prove much. It was a game we had to win and we did it. Now comes a tougher task and I think we'll know a lot more about this team regardless of whether it wins or loses.
Shadowplay
CBS Sportsline has us going from 22 to 17 in case you're looking for some love.

Ok, got it.     Who reads the rankings? They mean nothing. They are just some guys stupid opinions and mean nothing. But to win and move down and another team loses but moves up tells you all you need to know about the ranking process by FOX. jeffskins66
This'll motivate the players for sure... Yeah, I'm sure the players sit around every Tuesday waiting for the lastest power rankings to come out.

BigRay
Anyone catch Portis' quote? I love his quote !!! he is right they do not need anyone jumping on their bandwagon. Skins n' Bones
Not to defend them, but at this time of year, they still lean heavily on last year's performance. It's still BS. Are teams like the Saints or the Jets really that good?? Not right now. Keep up the hate.....Nothing but motivation!!!
gidoni13
Not only did we slip 1 in the rankings the 0-1 Cardinals, Bills, and Jets are all ranked higher. Though they did give us some Props.Clinton Portis ran for 98 yards and a touchdown, while Antwaan Randle El hauled in five balls for 152 yards in the Redskins' 16-13 opening weekend victory over Miami. So, maybe the Washington offense is finally digesting Al Saunders' 800-page playbook? Well, it's only been one week, but the Redskins' offense looked as good as it did at any point all of last season. The defense? Well, if Sunday was any indication, it's night and day from 2006. Washington held Miami to 66 rushing yards and 13 points. London Fletcher led the way with 11 tackles in his Redskins debut. What did Mr. Portis have to say after the game? "It don't shut them up, we need the doomsayers. We don't need nobody to jump on our bandwagon." Portis said that? Sounds about right. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/powerRankings?MSNHPHCP>1=10437 This guy's rankings are a complete joke, we win and drop in his rankings, while the Bills lose at home and move up 3 spots, and the Titans move from #26 to #14 with a late win as well. Those are just 2 examples of at least 5 or 6 that are laughable. Who the hell hires these guys?
