After Name Change, Do Team Records And Heritage Convey?
Chants replied to studzmckenzie's topic in The Stadium
I really understand how some people would be concerned about whether the legacy passes after renaming. It simply does pass after renaming. Same team, same ownership, same players, same darn city, and same fans. Don't worry about that. The worry is that fans will leave after renaming. Some will. It's OK. More will come. -

Terell Owens had serious issues. But he loved to play the game of football. Guice looks like he REALLY loves to play football. I mean really REALLY loves to play. It's like nothing else matters in the world to him. So if there are some character issues, which I would imagine there are, he is first and foremost a player and lover of the game. A+ pick, and welcome to the 'Skins Guice. -

Individuals choosing to sit for the national anthem is protected speech and I don't have a problem with it. Individuals choosing to walk away from those who sit for the national anthem is protected speech and I don't have a problem with it. Am I the only person that feels this way? -
Here is the statue in question. I saw it nearly everyday growing up nearby. The pedestal reads, "Erected to the memory of the confederate dead of Alexandria VA. by their surviving comrades, May 24, 1888." It is a memorial to the dead. To me, it captures the complex emotions of the south during post war reconstruction and reconciliation. The subject's expression is mournful, not proud, not angry, and not righteous. His hat is off in respect for the dead. His left hand grips tightly his right arm, showing anguish. Sad, defeated and resigned, much in the way that the south must have felt

My basic ribs: Two baby back pork ribs, or other ribs if you prefer. 1/3 cup pepper 1/3 cup salt 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 bottle rye whiskey That's your BBQ sauce. Slow cook ribs for at least six hours over a natural flame, low but constant heat. Coat the ribs every 15 minutes at least with the sauce.

They've won the offseason, no? Gosh darn, I am so glad we ain't winning that trophy anymore.

I don't know if this question has been answered. If the term "Redskin" is indisuptably racist and even moreso 80 years ago, why would the team name themselves after something they despised?

The name will be changed within two years. It doesn't matter what the truth is anymore. It's all about the narrative.
